Doucoure is listed as an option and Oumar was not??

Oumar at least scored a couple of goals and gave us one proper great moment.

Some players have not even gave us those.

He is up there in terms of lack of ability, but ahead of say a Davy Klaassen who is ten times the footballer Niasse is but did absolutely zero in a blue shirt, give me Oumar every time.

Just can’t see how it can be anyone of there than Sigurdsson, Iwobi or Bolasie?
Tosun won’t be far behind either.

collectively, we’ll have had them on board for 5 years at the end of their contracts and they’ve contributed (as of today) 221 appearances and 31 League goals.

Bolasie - 5 Year Deal, £65k+ per week for 1 goal and 29 League Appearances. £27m
Tosun - 4.5-year deal, £65k+ per week for 9 goals in 47 League Appearances.... or 4 in his last 3 seasons with us. £27m.
Iwobi - 5-Year Deal, £65+ per week for 1 goal in 35 games. potentially £34m... and 3.5 years left :(

Sigurdsson as much as i hate him (seriously, more than any other Everton player of all time... and I grew up with Kendall Mk.3) has at least scored a few goals and played a few good games (majority largely underwhelming dross).

Bolasie and Iwobi are the worst for me. Slaven Bilic gets up there too.

Players like Kroldrup were beyond disappointing, especially when we were getting Cahill's and Arteta's for peanuts, but we made a £500k loss on him, and that's it, he was gone in 6-months.

Was it Nyarko who one of our fans tried to swap shirts with on the pitch in the middle of a game? I can't remember that much of him but think he was pretty bad most of the time. Whether or not he was our worst ever signing might be pushing it but he was certainly underwhelming.

Oumar gave us another great moment when he scored for Hull against the RS - picked the ball up in the centre-circle, streaked clear of their defence, drew the keeper and slipped it into the net. Reminded me of vintage Jimmy Greaves.

Bolasie, Tosun and Sigurdsson cost £99m combined in transfer fees. That's terrifying.

They've been every bit as bad as McGeady, Kone and McCarthy were, and cost four times more.

That's very harsh on McCarthy. He was a good player for us until injury ruined him.

I completely forgot McGeady played for us...

He was obviously a gifted footballer I think that's what made it worse. He never looked remotely bothered.

Allegedly he was a bit of an oddball off the pitch and a religious bloke, not that that's odd but in those days he may not have integrated with the squad very well.

Did Nyarko not start off pretty alright? An awful signing for sure and spotlighted by the shirt swap however I’m sure I remember him doing something at the beginning which is more than many have done

Went with Bolasie in terms of value for money. Can’t remember the last time he played a game for us, only played half a season before getting that injury which happens fair enough, but didn’t exactly set the world alight before then, contributing little in goals and assists and when he does eventually go, we’ll get next to no resale value if we actually get anything for him at all

Scored a back heel in a pre-season game for Joe Parkinson’s testimonial. Walked away thinking we’d got ourselves a Vieira.

Just didn’t adapt to the league at all. If you thought Schneiderlin was bad, then he must have been Brett Angell reincarnated.

By all accounts, the fella who swapped his shirt is a bad idiot, but that performance was bad, even by his standards.

I think his lowest ebb was away to City, rained non stop we lost 5-0 and he looked beyond uninterested.

McCarrthy shouldn’t get listed in this list, just like someone like Pembridge shouldn’t.

Was a good solid player for us. Didn’t do anything wrong.

McCarthy just got an injury and we rushed him back and never ever recovered. Thinking Kone was the second coming was naive on my behalf! Still.... did something not many Everton strikers have done and scored a premier league Hat Trick!
