Honourable mentions to Michael Keane and Ashely young played really well ,Jordan for an excellent penalty save from the reprehensible Gordon , my motm was James Garner who dealt with Barnes and Gordon exceptionally well, a complete joke of a decision by Pawson not to award the penalty for the foul on Dcl ( honestly if the club had any backbone about it he’ wouldn’t be anywhere near an Everton game,his unabashed bias against us is quite plain to see) Ndiaye was yet again a treat to watch such a fabulous player (very much like Pienaar in his close control), midfield balance was wrong we needed a tackler next to Mangala ..Iroegbunam has to start for me, we should be better after intl break with Branthwaite, Broja,Chermitti closer to starting ,not the worst result in the world but let’s have it right the New owners need to change the direction of this club, starting with the manager …COYB

Agreed. Nearly all penalties these days are when the attacking player initiates the contact. Whether that be deliberately running across the path of the defender or hanging their leg out to the side etc. Everyone gets them given. Everyone. Well, except...
