Yes it does, show me where burns touches the ball? And do you think it’s in the rules for a player to stop another player kicking the ball? Also your argument is pretty much void anyway with that video that now shows burns stands on dom ankle anyway. Pen 100%, no amounts of trailing legs or whatever.
If I stand in the way of a player when he's running past and he kicks my foot and falls over, I can now claim it isn't a foul.

Let's face it.
We're a poor side with a poor manager, and we're in poor form.

Stating the obvious...
We are currently fifth FROM THE BOTTOM in 16th place. Newcastle are sixth from the top (in 6th place if course).

That's only two from the danger zone.

Newcastle were much the better side: the difference in league positions was reflected on the pitch.

The penalty decision could've gone either way and probably wouldn't be overturned by VAR. There's nothing we can do.

But as for the (stupidity of the) antics of James Tarkowski... well we very fortunate Gordon took the penalty.

This time last year we were worse off.. only out of the bottom 3 on GD and technically on -4 with the deductions to come.. and we ended up well away from the bottom 3 points wise. We are a better side than last year and in my opinion we with a fit Branthwaite would be on minimum of 13 points right now and we'd be all delighted with the start.
Last years table after 7 games

….i understand that the VAR penalty review determined DCL had struck the defenders leg but there was no way of knowing that in real time. It confirms to me Pawson has an agenda against Everton as it’s not the first time he’s given critical decisions against us.

Apparently, had the on-field decision been a penalty then it wouldn’t have been overturned by VAR. Staggered it wasn’t given in real-time.

Pawson is a terrible referee who is scared of making decisions, not sure he's intelligent enough to have an agenda.

If gana had scored they would have probably disallowed it for a dcl foul on burn 😂

Burn made the initial contact.

He was also the wrong side the whole time so in no position to make a challenge. As soon as he puts his leg in front of DCL, it should be an automatic foul, because he's not close to the ball

The media view of this is just bizarre. It's indisputably a penalty and other teams get penalties for far less every week without a word said about it.

The refs can make up whatever reason they like but if that incident happens 25 yards out, its a free kick 100% of the time and no one thinks anything of it.
It was a penalty pure and simple

Everything else is just trying to cover themselves
