Ref saw Burns getting between DCL and the ball, and DCL accidentally kicked his leg. All technically true unfortunately.

Doesn’t take into account Burns not making any attempt to play the ball, all he was doing was upending DCL and falling on him.
Burn wasn't between Dom and the ball. He was the wrong side the whole time and knocked Dom over as he was trying to shoot

had visons of us scoring a last minute winner and the whole ground singing ‘oh antony gordon’ would have produced tears from him imo

?? If Burn’s leg wasn’t between DCL and the ball, how did DCL kick his leg when going to shoot?
Burn made the initial contact.

He was also the wrong side the whole time so in no position to make a challenge. As soon as he puts his leg in front of DCL, it should be an automatic foul, because he's not close to the ball

The media view of this is just bizarre. It's indisputably a penalty and other teams get penalties for far less every week without a word said about it.

The refs can make up whatever reason they like but if that incident happens 25 yards out, its a free kick 100% of the time and no one thinks anything of it.

How would a player accidentally kick another player if their leg wasn’t in the way of said player striking the ball?
That is my entire point. Burn’s leg was between DCL and the ball.
That is why the ref will argue Burns had more possession of the ball, and it wasn’t a pen.

Getting bored of typing the same damn post endlessly, doesn’t anyone ever bother reading other posts?
