Swansea played very well. They stuck to their game plan perfectly and looked dangerous on the counter. Credit to them, they were very organized. We had some good chances just nothing was dropping our way and Vorm had a great game.

I'm a bit confused about our formation. Who was RM? I swear Coleman was playing two positions. Anichebe was playing alongside Jelavic for most of the game. Neville had a bad game but was better than Naismith. I've been really impressed by Oveido even when he has been on the right side, how is Naismith getting ahead of him? Vellios had a decent appearance, set up a few chances.

I'd never boo an Everton player, but that toddler-haired wastrel was pissing me right off. The prem seems all a bit too much for him at the moment... I'd of rather Pienaar went RM and oviedo left. Baines needs more protection, he ended up loosing his rag which isn't like him at all. Anichebe never moved into a single decent position on that right side either. Coleman had his Messi dribbling boots on today. Was very impressed with his decision making.

That Naismith fraud is absolutely useless. Not even good enough for Rangers in the Scottish Third Division. Get rid and get whatever we can for him. £1m would be too much.

Swansea were pretty anti-football throughout that game - so much for the unswayed devotion to their philosophy - not that I am complaining too much, they did a job, and it was always going to be a difficult game.

We suffered due to Baines and Pienaar not only being tactically well stifled, but due to both of them having poor games by their standards, really poor in fact. It's something of a chicken-and-egg merry-go-round, did the defensive job force them into mistakes, or did their mistakes make the defensive job easier? Probably a combination, because many teams have tried and failed to shut down that side in the past: when they are on fire, they're unstoppable. It did mean that we were sorely lacking in creativity.
Osman was impressive as usual moving the ball nicely but we were very lethargic when we needed to be quicker: Fellaini, Neville, Jagielka, Distin all culprits. We badly missed Gibson and - although this may be somewhat controversial - Heitinga, someone who can bring the ball out of defence and start our attacks.
Jelavic was again good in his all round play, but really should have taken that stoppage time chance. I am ready to concede he is in a bad run of form, he would have buried that a few months ago.

I found the game to be really frustrating to be honest. Never felt like Swansea were going to get a winner once the second half got into full swing. They seemed happy to take their point and get out. They were playing like they were a team fighting off relegation and not a team still alive in two cups with two very good strikers in Michu and Graham. Everton kept giving the ball away far too easy. Jelavic was unlucky in the first half two with his shot just sneaking past the post. Nice to see the team FINALLY get a clean sheet though

I've not read through all the posts but hopefully someone has mentioned Howard's yellow jersey. That thing was hideous!

a positive: clean sheet?

Much as I hate to be proved right, even by accident ( many a true word spoken in jest etc )

I did say on the preview thread ( or somewhere ) that if we do get a clean sheet it will be as a result of a 0-0 draw. This little I told you so is my only positve from the whole game
