He goes down too easy for wing play for my liking and never advances as a result (and also he doesn't get properly fauled, he just falls on himself and then grabs the ball in his arms to force a free kick). I did miss the Villa game where he scored. Was he on the wing for that game?

He played "Sort of" on the wing. He's always been better as a sub when he's a bit faster and stronger than everybody. He doesn't have the fitness to play a whole match.

came on for drenthe and went right wing, Landy left

I would've played Drenthe and Donovan either side of Saha. I really thought that's what Moyes was going to do after he stumbled across this 4231 formation against Villa, I can see us at least scoring some goals with those three up front. For some reason he's decided to unbalance everything and play Victor wide left again, strange one. Other than that tho, can't really complain. We are just poor.

To be fair to Vic when he went down today he didn't lie there like a dead duck looking forlornly at the ref. Mostly he got up and got on with the game. When he went off he seemed to be holding his calf a bit. Hope he hasn't tweaked anything.

So err... just got in from that. **** performance from everyone bar Duffy.

Agree with you there mate. Duffy did well. I like the way he's shouting at the (so-called) seasoned pros trying to organise them. Heitinga did OK. Unusually Baines was pretty poor today. Pip looked old today ( thought he did quite well at Villa ). The highlight of the game for me was the huge Blackburn fan ( female ) with a crutch or walking stick. She had an arse like a beached whale and was at the front of the Bullens and occassionally, for reasons why nobody could quite work out ran ( well hobbled quickly ) towards the stewards shouting abuse.

See made me ashamed of my Woolness.

We were poor and were lucky for the point today. We showed life after 90 mins. and that was it. Poor.

Thumbs up Heitinga, Duffy. Thumbs down, Neville, Saha (does Saha translate to statue in French?)
Straq may be poor but dammit he give us more in 5-10 minutes that Saha gives in 90.

I am going to step out on the Cahill limb with fire resistant kevlar....
Best game in ages but...
1. That counter around the 83rd min. is all the proof we need that he is not a CM. Loads of time, loads of space, still more time, multiple options, and he turns and plays it back.
2. I know he played a different role for most of the game but he is still not getting his head on many balls. Not like the Timmy of old. And today was his best in a long while. If he is not doing that, he is not adding much. Defending, he was invisible.
3. Barkley needs to be playing CM. He offers so much more and he is a sniper. Our flow would be so much better.
2. I am glad for Cahill that he got the goal but...
a. Am I the only one that is concerned that this will now assure another twelve months of being auto-selected into the starting XI?
b. Barkley, Osman, Rodwell would easily have netted the same goal.

Just finished watching. I'm kinda burnt. Dammit.

Before I read back through the thread I'll ask this: why do we wait until the last flipping 3 minutes of the game before we attack wily nily?
