Good result today I thought, we weren't really at the races and still picked up a point.so relegation really isn't likely this season for us and we are still within reach of a plausable finish of 7th or 8th. We do need to strengthen though because we have become predictable. I stand by the fact that if we can use this season as a transition and try to involve the younger players more, then next season we can really kick on and look to become a force again.

Just finished watching. I'm kinda burnt. Dammit.

Before I read back through the thread I'll ask this: why do we wait until the last flipping 3 minutes of the game before we attack wily nily?

Moyes logic: because there isn't time for us to get bummed by opening up and attacking.

I have to say I had no idea Keane still had that in him at (top tier) club level. It bodes well for Ireland though, with the Euros on the horizon.

We need a more permanent solution up front than another 2 month loan, however.

Great day, thanks for another easy away point lads. See ya next season, wonder if there'll be any new material? (of course not)

Most teams in the division would love to take their pick from our squad. We haven't got a lack of quality individuals. Collectively we're not getting anywhere near enough out of them though. Moyes has to drop Saha for one thing. We can't afford to get to the middle of January with a non-scoring centre forward.

In the last 10 minutes we're faster, we put the opposing team under pressure, and our decision making is just better.

The guys overthink it in the middle, trying to plod our way in.

This seems indeed a coaching issue.

Side note: player of the month for January. Unless Landon pulls out a great FA Cup game, it's gotta go to Duffy, right? I'd say they are the only two in competition. Which is kinda sad if you think about it: the loanee and the guy that is playing due to injuries. As of now my vote is Duffy, but could go Landon's way with the last game in Jan.

It might have bought us a bit of time. Keane's quite an intelligent player and he's always been hungry for goals. Saha seems resigned to the fact that the goals have dried up.

I could have told you that. Not surprised by his goals at all. I don't think he's a day in/day out player in the EPL, but his form for the Galaxy Sep-Nov was stellar. Class above right now.

We're too afraid of taking a hammering, which is why we try and nullify a game and nick something. I think the reason that we invited Blackburn on to us today was so that they weren't so compact and we could hopefully find some space to play in. It wasn't such a bad idea in principle but we can't keep the ball, there's no movement and we don't commit bodies forward, so it didn't help in the end.

I think you're spot on.

They already have! We don't have many left that most teams would 'love' to have.
