They already have! We don't have many left that most teams would 'love' to have.

Baines
Distin
Jagielka
Osman
Rodwell
Barkley
Fellaini
Drenthe

You're half right but I think outside of the top 7 or 8 most teams would envy that selection of quality.

Great day, thanks for another easy away point lads. See ya next season, wonder if there'll be any new material? (of course not)

Any new material should probably be saved for Yakubu's shirt. A lazy second season coupled with Venkys chickens should ensure that although you're watching Championship football, the Yak vs Dunn race to the cardiac ward will keep all twenty seven of your loyal fans entertained.

Of course they would, we're Everton and we have better players than the **** teams. But for a lower team to 'love' to get one of those players, it'd have to be one of the ones that the top 7 or 8 would want i.e. Arteta, Pienaar, Baines. Otherwise it's just a good signing.

I think it's fair to say that the top teams would all want Baines (he's BAINES), Distin (Spurs tried to sign him), Jagielka (Arsenal tried to sign him), Rodwell (rumour mill favourite), Barkley (he'll be gone within 2 years) and Fellaini (rumour mill favourite also).

The jury's out on Drenthe and Osman isn't good enough for the top, top teams but there's a lot of players in our squad that are top class.

I have to say I had no idea Keane still had that in him at (top tier) club level. It bodes well for Ireland though, with the Euros on the horizon.

We need a more permanent solution up front than another 2 month loan, however.

keane is a great goal scorer its a pity we have no money we could have got him before he went state side
he will score more goals in the 2 months loan than saha will score or strq in the whole season

Yet none of them has gone.

it may even be that we're being over coached in the middle of the park, i mean that we always want to pass the ball around nicely but due to our lacing in pace mainly, it is in front of the opponents midfield and back four. Its only the odd players like now donovan, drenthe and coleman who sometimes run at players or between players with the ball to make the oppionents do something they dont want to do. we are about as exciting to watch as a sloth race

Yet none of them has gone.

And what?

Baines, as a LB and our greatest creative outlet, is a low priority for other teams but a highly valued player for us. Not to say he'll be here forever.

Distin's 34 now so his age is off-putting.

Jags, well, we'll see.

Rodwell, Barkley and Fellaini... it's surely only a matter of time.

Trying to imply that players aren't good enough for top teams or that top teams wouldn't want them because they don't yet have them is crazy.

Why is it? It means either they can't afford them, don't value them enough to pay the asking price/wages, don't want them, we won't sell or the player doesn't want to go. Is there another option I've missed?

Thank you, Everton!

I have physically injured my throat!
During stoppage time when that ball was ricocheting around the blackburn penalty box, I was shouting 'GET IN!!!!' at the top of my lungs! Been hoarse ever since, FFS!

If Rodwell, Fellaini, Barkley or Baines ends their career here I'll eat my hat.

And I don't really see what a team not being able to afford or meet the asking price of a player has to do with them wanting them or them not being good enough. Evidently Arsenal wanted Jags but didn't value him above £10m. Yes that means they don't value him as much as we do, but they still wanted him and thought he was good enough. The assertion contrary to that is what I am disagreeing with.

Just saw MOTD. Moyes looked like a man who had given up in the MOTD interview.. Time to move on methinks, but who will replace him?
