Am I the only one who thought he did pretty well (for bily)? Especially when McFadden was taken off and he realised, for once, he hadn't been the worst player on the pitch. He was definitely getting stuck in and wanted the ball rather than trying to avoid getting involved.

According to the feed I was listening to (the official site) he was horrible. Now the rest of the team wasn't much better, but he, McFadden and Gueye (first half) were three of the worst.

Shame we didn't have Arteta and Pienaar, we would of played better and won more easily.

Macclesfield 0-1 Everton :

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Lescott, Jagielka, Baines, Osman, Neville, Arteta, Pienaar (Gosling 90), Anichebe, Cahill.

I agree with the general sentiment that we played poorly, but I don't agree with this sudden wave of "if Arteta and Pienaar were here we would have been ace."

Let's remember Arteta's form last year, and Pienaar had his crap games too.

The players in midfield today could have done better. They could have made up for it.

EDIT: Ah, read down further, saw you agreeing got it.

just back home in Northern Ireland from the match. Two notable things from the match.

1) I was seated at the front of upper Gwladys, behind the cameraman. A supporter in lower Gwladys got thumped by a ball during the warm up and got propelled back over his seat.

2) Sitting behind the cameraman meant I could observe the cameraman at work during the boring bits. I now feel confident to operate the camera at the next match I'm over at..

It really was that bad, and against Bluesquare opposition. The players didn't move for each other, was like watching netball played with the feet.. We didn't play as a team, is that thE latest Moyes tactic to confuse the opposition..

Can't remember Frank, was laughing too much, sorry to whoever it was, but it was funny.

The smart money's on Hibbo.

I remember in about '95 seeing Hinchcliffe toey the ball full force into the face of a youngster sitting approximately a yard away in the panini seats.

Great days.

Couldn't believe it, he just got up , shook himself, like a cartoon, and got on with it. respect & Rep if he is a GOT member.

I swear my tv guide said the highlights started at 11.30. I just caught the last 60 secs of our game. Damn!

We only got about 2 minutes as usual. And for the post-match discussion all we got was "and so Tamworth's fa cup run comes to an end. Moving on..."

I've noticed this on all the ITV cup highlight shows. They're utterly sh*te.

I supoose you'd rather listen to Hansen and Shearer prattling on about some load of crap would you?

Nah thought not!

Its 3rd round day, most games won't get much coverage unless they are media darling wankfests or shocks.

For all the stick Damon gets on here, I defy anyone on here to contradict what's been said above with a straight face.

1) Our form sucks right now.

2) Selling Arteta and Yakubu has had a demonstrable effect on our ability to score.

I don't disagree that many times, Evertonians see only what they want to see without taking into account ALL variables and cherry pick what makes their case if you will.

It's Tamworth. Tamworth. A semi pro side. Fellaini is worth more than their entire squad alone....
