I am pissed at the result....but what a second half!!!

We have 5th now. I think the only way they were going to take 5th from us was if they won today.
 
Wrong choice Osman should have gone off instead of Fernandes, both for performance and height reason!

Looks like we needed at least a point at Arsenal!
 

i think we where robbed in that game...clear cut penalty to us, refused..unreal, but i guess thats the way it is...but a much much better spirited second half than we have seen in a long time.

But why was the yak playing as a winger? and more importantly knowing villa is a ferocious goal scoring machine, why did the defense switch off, on not one ocassion but 2? Our defence is usually far stronger than this.

Will this game come back to haunt us later on? from a game that we should rightfully have won in that second half.

We now must beat the Arse and Newcastle, a draw and a win is unlikely to be enough, considering villa will more than likely beat wigan and west ham, we can't really ask those 2 teams to do us a favour, i just don't think they are going to be good enough to hold villa to a draw or even beat them.

thats it, defence lost us that win ,after so many solid performances too, every time they sit back they concede, bit slow on the up take really cos you just cant do that so deep.
we'd dragged that back after the 1st 1/2 then chucked it away. villa do look dangerous in attack but their defence was bricking it and we should have ran at them in the box, they have to put some sort of challenge in then and if they touch you then you do what every other [Poor language removed] does, you don't have to roll around like you've been poleaxed thats not what i'm saying but if the ref sees contact and it impedes your run then it's a pen.

Arteta should have covered Barry for that second AV goal. Or at least pressured him.

Although we were better towards the end, I'd have to say a draw was a fair result tbh :(

Thought we'd decide europe today. Now Moyes has to get the team up for another two cup finals.
 
They have Wigan at home next, we have Arsenal away.

Yeah... something tells me that this is going to go down to the last game.

One problem though, he refused to give a clear cut blatant penalty to us for handball.

we loose against the arse or draw and i cant really see it making any difference, because they have a far superior goal difference than us. You need to bare in mind their goal difference is staggering compared to ours, and it's this goal difference that could be the deciding factor if it goes down to the wire.
I think for sure the next game will really decide 5th place, since with all due respect to the barcodes, the Arse away is a much harder game.
 
no but you see my point though about the ref giving pens for fouls though. I thought the ref today was far too harsh in quite a few decisions.
