as martin oneil has said "it is now in the hand of the gods" and you know he couldn't be more right, more so now than before this match.

Mierda! Madre de Dios! Putas!!!!!

:@

On the up-side, Arsenal have nothing to play for now, and we need to get a result so we do have a chance of getting something out of them. And Wigan are battling at the moment, they could be playing wretchedly which would be worse. Then I'd fancy us against Newcastle. It really will be down to the wire.

Cago en tu leche!

Don't care about the result TBH. We are still in the driving seat. Why does everyone think we'll lose to Arsenal even before the match has started?

The performance today put a smile on my face. Yakubu looked like he thoroughly enjoyed himself, besting Knight and Co. on many occassions. Johnson like the commentator so aptly put it: "creates problems even when there's no apparent danger"

And Yobo's finish - CLASS!

Only bad point were the 2 equalizers. For the first, we really need bigger and beefier men in our team for these kind of situations. As for the second - why the heck did our players back off when Barry approached?

I'll do you one better.

I said at the beginning of the season that our last four matches against Chelsea, Villa, Arsenal, and Newcastle were gonna hurt. Boy how right was that?

Furthermore, our form is absolute crap right now. We haven't dominated anyone. We lack scoring punch from those who should be giving it to us. And our defense has been terrible.

So, not only do I think we'll lose at Arsenal, I don't think we'll get anything out of an in-form Newcastle either.

And this coming from someone who is usually one of the most positive, optimistic members of this forum.

We needed three points today and we didn't get it. Hello Intertoto.

Yes we have had a poor run of late and Villa have been tonking teams by 3+ goals. We were poor in the 1st but very handy in the 2nd- I was actually fairly pleased with the result today.

Its games like this where the determination and grit valvanizes the team to kick on and do well- remember the Derby at Goodison?! After that we went on a hell of a run, Ive got a feeling we will be ok after this one.

And numerous people didn't give us a hope in hell today with Villa being in the form they are but we could of beat them but for a dodgy bit of defending for the second equaliser.

What "should" happen and what actually happens in football are 2 completly different things. Arsenal away will be tough but go in to the the game thinking we are gonna lose and it will be much tougher so i really hope the team dont think that way.

I was a little surprised by the substitution after we'd gone 1-0 up. I thought Johnson might have been taken off for Arteta to bolster the midfield a bit. Thought Fernandes was doing well, and a four man midfield including (a recovering) Arteta, Osman and Pienaar seemed a little weak to protect against the expected onslaught.
