Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

United trying to pull a Liverpool with VVD?

Or trying to pressure Real with a pulling out of Moratta then leaking this?

No idea.

I do think he may well end up there, unless Chelsea come and up their bid.

But Jim seems adamant that it's still in negotiations and is allegedly on the hotline to Mosh :D

The way I read it was that 10 mil was the starting price of the haggling.

Who's arsed anyway, we've now got a much better squad than them with our recent signings.

All we're lacking is a replacement for his goals.

Him leaving will will have been anticipated and a replacement(s) identified.

Let's face it, he's nowhere near Ibrahimovic and his relationship with Mourinho doesn't seem to have been great in the past.

Could this just be a ploy to force Chelsea into the market ?

Mad not being overly arsed about losing your top scorer.

Nice feeling.

Same was gutted when the 80's team all started leaving, similarly with Rooney was massive disappointment.

This one, not even remotely bothered anymore, he's a bad bell, always had one eye on his 'big move', and the antics during/at the end of the United Old Trafford match with Williams and Pogba left a very very bad taste

Given our board's history with transfers (maybe with the exception of Rooney), and the fact that so much dosh has been invested in players recently, I highly doubt we will have agreed to sell Lukaku at a price that doesn't suit us. We hold the cards as he has 2 years left on his contract, so there's no need for us to sell except for an outrageous offer.

Well no, we're at 0 net spend now, with Rom and Geri etc being sold....Hopefully we have a lot more business to do still.
Don't forget Cleverly, McGeady and the rest who will also likely go this summer plus the TV money.

Why is everyone taking the club to task over the 100 mil price tag we placed on him a while ago? Surely that's just a sensible negotiation tool when getting the best deal for the player. Set the bar high and go from there. We won't be the first or the last to set a much higher asking price than we eventually get for a player whose departure was inevitable.
