He was always going to leave us eventually. My youngest lad has just turned 30 and we've only finished in the top 4 twice in his entire lifetime. And we've won just one trophy in his entire lifetime: the FA Cup in 1995.

In that same time period, Man Utd have won myriad Premier League titles and numerous European Cups.

Clubs like ours don't keep players like Rom.
