Everton Agree Fee With Man Utd For Lukaku

This is the strangest, most non-conventional approach to a potential transfer I've ever seen
Indeed, thats because not one of us on here knows the exact ins and outs of any negotiations which may or may not be going on (except those who absolutely know for definite that Kenwright is responsible )

United have form, they announced the Ramsay deal from Cardiff to all their pet journos years back who all ran with it, he signed for arsenal shortly after

This is them being quite straightforward compared to something like the Ince deal where they had him photographed in the shirt before actually agreeing the deal with West Ham.

So Gerrard going to UTD when Liverpool were winning all those trophies in '01 is the same as Rooney going to UTD when we got 37 points and lost our last six league games and were completely broke???

lollol

I hate when people start posting snide RS remarks about EFC and they become a goer on here.

It was the same when we were linked with that Burnley fellow last week or the week before.

A debate raged here about sommat homophobic he posted on Twitter five years ago and whether we should be considering buying him.....an issue which only became a talking point when he had the temerity to score a winning goal against them last season and the pitchfork wielding Kopites took to social media in their droves to traduce him.

Same here.....some wannabee wise guy post a silly analogy comparing Rooney with Slippy, intended for like minded mutants to drool over, yet it is posted on GOT to nods of approval from our own.

Bizarre.

Me?

Ol' Khal don't care what the Red Side say.....what the heck do I care

This + the analogy was complete nonsense. Comparing where we were when Rooney was 18 to where Liverpool were when Gerrard was in that age group. Add to that that I certainly wouldn't class Evertonians as a whole to be 'buzzing' that Rooney may be coming back. I for want him nowhere near here, so I'm not in the 'buzzing' list that that Kopite enjoyed classing me in.

Tbf man utd aren't particularly an upgrade on us anymore

They are in payroll...

Sell asap, we're only an torn ACL away from a lot less.

Thinking this as well. We somehow got lucky with Stones play deteriorating after the reported transfer fell through and still got a boatload of cash. Don't want to test that luck again.

A bad season/mediocre season by a disgruntled Rom, or an injury (how many of those did we suffer last year?) and that figure goes way down. Nevermind the possible impact a disgruntled Rom might have on the rest of a club that really seems to be shaping up.

He wants out, we're set to make something like 50,000,000 off the deal given what we paid for him a couple years ago. Find someone who wants to be here and bang in goals for the blues, move on.

I despise Kenwright and what he has done to our club but it's as obvious as the nose on my face that Kenwright has absolutely nothing to do with transfer negotiations in this window
Yes he might talk to the player and give him all the guff about how great a club we are but it's apparent that's as far as it goes
We have paid a little over the odds for a couple of players and got deals done early.
This would never have happened with Kenwright in charge

I do wonder how those work if you sell back to the original club. Say Chelsea get 25% of any profit. If we sold him back to Chelsea, do they get the profit off of buying him back so he essentially becomes 25% cheaper after the 28m?
There is no sell on clause in his deal
Chelsea are still money on his original transfer as it was 28 m over 5 years

Pick one.

[/QUOTE It doesn't make sense to sell him for anything less. EFC don't want to sell him but have a verbal agreement that Lukaku can go if their valuation is met. Their valuation is £100mill. Until that is on the table he is going nowhere. Think of it like a release clause.[/QUOTE]

Would be ludicrous to let him go for less than £100million. What does £75million get you these days? 3 Bolasies.
