Everton Are The Least Interesting Team In The Football League

Don't get me wrong, I don't want us to be relegated to have some excitement, but I think the original point is a decent one. It's no wonder so many fans are talking about fed up and packing in going to the game when you look at something like this. We've basically finished 4th (once) and 12th (once) and somewhere in between every year for the last 17 seasons. With 1 cup final and maybe what, 4/5? really notable wins? I wouldn't swap our place for Sunderland's for example, but there's no denying they've had more to keep them interested than we have, it's like groundhog day being an Everton fan.
I agree generally, but, would you rather be hopeful of pushing for Europe, or hopeful of getting promotion into league one?

wow can't believe people are so quick to forget these trophies

Our profile - the country's 4th most successful club and part of a binary rivalry with a global brand like the cult are - is outrageously low.

We had an impressario at the helm for 15 years who managed to under sell the club and tried to bounce us out of the heart of a major English city to the burbs.
Agree. I’m outside of the UK and had heard about clubs like Aston Villa and Newcastle many years before I’d heard of Everton

No that's what i'm saying. I'm not saying it would be better to be in a lower division, just that I think it's a fair point that supporting us is generally pretty dull. There are some teams who may be in dark times now but can look back fondly on great days. Evertonians of my generation (i'm mid 30s) have not had the same lows but nor have we had the same highs. I've been to hundreds, maybe a thousand, Everton games, and I've come away from about 5 of them thinking 'what a great day to be an Everton fan'. It's pretty grim when you think about it.

We are the meme club we are the joke that keeps on giving to other clubs. As supporters we have to suffer the humilation and despair and failure.

We are fodder for man u RS chelsea and arsenal, the tv audience is number one priority and we dont pull in the big audience for sponsors , unless you are by far the best you need big decisions in big games to win things, teams with big sponsors seem to coincidentally get the big decisions.

Hence why I couldn't care less if we ended up in the championship one day.

Football is about memories regardless of how small they may be and we are the one club who has NO memories these days. Atleast yoyo clubs get the odd day out at Wembley with their kids.

We just bobble around in midtable from now to eternity.
