Until their Academy wing develops more real game changers I don't see this getting much different. You can get legit talent in other ways but not enough of it to be at a Champions League level.

No that's what i'm saying. I'm not saying it would be better to be in a lower division, just that I think it's a fair point that supporting us is generally pretty dull. There are some teams who may be in dark times now but can look back fondly on great days. Evertonians of my generation (i'm mid 30s) have not had the same lows but nor have we had the same highs. I've been to hundreds, maybe a thousand, Everton games, and I've come away from about 5 of them thinking 'what a great day to be an Everton fan'. It's pretty grim when you think about it.

I sort of checked out of the football side to a large degree, on that we are distinctly uninteresting.

I do enjoy coming on here though.

I enjoy the politics of the club, the speculation, the new stadium of course, and new signings (well, not so much on that last point).

Imho, we are a real soap-opera of a club!

We just sit there, not really doing anything....its like footballing purgatory.

Only Oldham have gone longer without actually doing something (promotion, win a play off, a cup etc)
But Oldham have been relegated in that time, so there ahas been a significance!
