At the very least we should have brought in an option for up front. The option we have now is: 1/ play two players out of position each game to make up for the fact we have no obvious goalscorer, or 2/ play Tosun or DCL, neither of whom are up to it.

Fact is, we have scored the same as Spurs, 1 less than United, (should be equal really), and no one out side the top 4 have scored more.

Yeah, I get it, a sound striker in the summer would have been nice, but to call it a calamity and a dereliction of duty is just nonsense.

Timo Werner - has a 54 mil release clause
Maximiliano Gomez - probably around 40 mil for him
Lautaro Martinez - has a 30 mil release clause
Kasper Dolberg - would need time to develop but has great potential
Josef Martinez - Would be a risk but has dominated MLS
Jonathan Calleri - Has good potential

If we want a proven EPL CF then we will be paying stupid amounts of money to get one and I believe that would not be the best use of our money especially given Brands history of being able to find good talent.

We rely too much on Sigurdsson getting a very good goal out of nowhere. Six PL goals shared between Tosun, Walcott and DCL is just not good enough. We have a Lukaku shaped hole and have done for two seasons, in which time the emphasis has been to get attackers who hold up the ball and link play rather than a predator. Brands had all summer and time belfore that to ponder moves into the transfer market to end that pattern.

This January I expect to see him move fast to bring a poacher in.

Conveniently leaves out richarlison's 4 goals in 6 and a bit games.
