What makes you think I hate him?

There's a world of difference between hating him and refusing to accept he's done a grrat job. He's done an ok(ish) job so far and we've every right to point to the calamity upfront to criticise him.

Portraying that as me "hating' him is just a way of denying the right to criticise him.
It’s only a calamity from your point of view
As I’ve said before I’m sure he knows we need a CF ( along with 3/4 others ) but they decided their priorities, made decisions and got who they could
Do you honestly think if he was offered 60 m to buy a CF he’d say
Nah thanks Tosun is fine
I’m sure he’s looking at CF , RB , RM DM options since day one , but as I’ve said it’s not a limitless pot of money

He's not though. He's very far from being fine.

Not at all, but as far as the vast majority, me included, are concerned, he hasn`t put a foot wrong so far.

I could see in the summer (and said) that Tosun + DCL was leaving us severely short up front to go through the season with.

If I can see that then it's negligence that a man being paid a king's ransom didn't.

and Brands and Silva know this , that’s why he’s not starting games
But if push canme to shove I’d rather play him at CF then play Jags , Baines , Bolassie Mirallas Martina in their respective positions
As I’ve said numerous times and you’ve constantly refused to address the issue , the money wasn’t there to do it all so priorities were decided and signings made based on those priorities
It’s not too hard to understand

Well, we can use whatever terminology you like, but none of it masks the fact that we are now forced to play Richarlison in an out and out attacking role that hardly suits him - a non-specialist to fulfil the tasks of that position - we also lose a potent threat out wide left where he should be.
I don't get why you are saying that striker was the biggest need for us... if you compare our stats from this season to ours at this point of the season last year it is extremely clear that the defense was the top priority and that the players that have been brought in have helped us there, along with making the offense better.

In 2017 we had scored 7 goals and given up 20!!!!! not only that we were getting embarrassed, 0-2 vs Chelsea, 0-3 vs spurs, 0-4 vs man u, 2-5 vs arsenal. In the first 10 games we were shut out 5 times and were sitting in 18th because of it.

This year we have scored 16 goals and only given up 14 and have only been shut out once. outside of just not showing up to the west ham game we have been in ever game that we have played in. I know that at the end of the day a 0-2 loss to arsenal is worth the same amount of points as a 2-5 loss but it is easy to see that we have the quality this season to play with the big boys that we did not have last year.

I do agree that if we want to start beating the top 6 a new striker is necessary but it was not the most pressing need that we had. Brands has done a good job so far and I trust that he and Silva will bring in the top level striker that we need in within the next two windows.

Imagine being upset at summer business that brought in 6 useful players one year after we bought 3 players in the same position and 3 that were barely Championship quality while leaving us with only 1 LB and zero strikers that can trap the ball.

The other thing is buying a striker isn't easy. There are probably 8 strikers in England that would improve us. There aren't great strikers all over the place.

Please stop talking sense, as it doesn`t fit with his current narrative regarding Brands.

Thank you kindly.

We rely too much on Sigurdsson getting a very good goal out of nowhere. Six PL goals shared between Tosun, Walcott and DCL is just not good enough. We have a Lukaku shaped hole and have done for two seasons, in which time the emphasis has been to get attackers who hold up the ball and link play rather than a predator. Brands had all summer and time belfore that to ponder moves into the transfer market to end that pattern.

This January I expect to see him move fast to bring a poacher in.
