Very impressed with what big Nev said about Bill and Moyes. The blue union is just awaiting for a spark it seems and nothing would be as disastrous for the team than a series of protests if Bill lets them go for anything less than 45M.

As for Moyes. I'm pretty sure sooner rather than later he'll ruin RVP and all the other strikers they have once he tells them to defend the corners like Maldini.

To be fair, chico, the mere winning of trophies does not in itself make one club "bigger" than another.

Forest won two European Cups in the late 70s but they were never a particularly big club.

But by every conceivable yardstick, Everton were as big, if not bigger, than United or Arsenal back in the pre Sky days.

Untited may have had bigger gates, but that was the only area in which they bettered us.

This is just a spurious argument put forward by an Arsenal fan whom, I would suggest, is very worried that his own team are now on a steady road to decline.

Arsenal yes, Man Utd - not so sure, they were after all the glamour club - the Busby Babes and Munich all conspired to generate a mythical status in the eyes of many, despite their lack of league titles.

Totally agree re. Forest, and perhaps an even better example would be Leeds Utd who dominated the English game in the late 60s and early-mid 70s, but were never really viewed as being as big as the traditional powers of the game. And perhaps their own reputation, and particularly that of Don Revie, suffered because of that perception.

Really hope we don't sign any of them. Just seems lazy from Moyes to be going for Everton's players. No disrespect but there everton players for a reason. Disappointing window all round, all United fans dreaded these two were his targets and what you know..? they are.

Fellaini at a push but Baines is completly uneeded. Evra has been fantastic this season and a fan favourite. Bringing in Baines just seems to disrupt things and is uncalled for.

Get that chip off your shoulder matey. wasnt carrick at spurs for a reason, berbatov also at spurs, phil jones at blackburn, rio ferdinand at leeds WAYNE ROONEY at everton, plus no doubt other players you lot have signed from 'lower level ' clubs, all for a reason but each one improved your team and won various trophies. Just because they dont play in a top four side doesnt mean they are poor players.

it's "they're"

Really annoyed with moyes' press conference. No mention of the insulting and derisory bid. Yet united get the hump that Chelsea want Rooney. Really hope Chelsea wipe the floor with united on Monday and ruin moyes' debut.

The nerve of offering £12m for a player who is arguably the best player in the world in his position. It is staggering. Baines is untransferable.
