They'll both go. My big worry is that we'll get a second bid on Tues/Wed of around 32-33m and reject that one, too. Kenwright won't want his 'Martinez March' turning into a very different kind of march. Then we'll beat WBA on Saturday with both Baines and Fellaini playing and we'll all be happy. By Monday they'll be completing their medicals at Carrington, and we'll get 35m just in time to buy McCarthy at an inflated price and perhaps Moses and one other on loan.

If the bid was 40m I would totally understand if Martinez had to think about and what he could potentially do with the money. But 28m for the 2 of them? Suarez, Bale and Rooney have already done it this summer and it has gotten them nowhere. If anything, it puts the ball firmly in the court of the selling club: Ok, the player wants a transfer. He´s welcome to it if you give us enough money.

Liverpool wanted Bale money for Suarez. Spurs wanted 100mil for Bale. For all the noises Utd would have sold Rooney for about 35-40 mil I reckon.

All we need to do is to slam a big price tag on Fellainis head.
