Seeing as United now like buy one get one free deals we should bid £30m for Van Persie and Rooney and see how they react.

They have come in low to allow themselfs maneuverability with the transfer fee, I think they will bid around the 35m mark but if they had come in with that first and it was knocked back they would have had nowhere to go

Now is the time for Bill to give one of his impassioned calls to Sky sports News. We have heard him gushing over ex managers and his speech for JF96. Now is the time to come out and give another grand performance in telling United to put up or shut up. No running to the Echo to put a sound bite out. Us fans need to hear Bill come and shove two fingers up to Moyes and his ****ty bids for our best players.

There was a lot of rumoured interest in Felli but no one matched the £23m clause, making a lower bid when the clause was in place would have been a waste of time as we held all the cards. We don't now. No one wanted him for £23 million so like any auction they are starting at a lower value to tempt our resolve.

Maybe United have met the 23M buyout clause for Fellaini and just value Baines at 5M?

The permuatations with that slap in the face piss take are endless!

Mike Parry just said it all on talksport for me. This is about more than the transfer of 2 players - it's about how Utd think they can treat us - shown by how they initially approached Moyes.

United have a new negotiating team after Gill left. After the Fabregas business and now this it is evident that they are well out of their depth. Having said that, they're "man united they do what they want." Arrogant scrotes.

You've got that totally wrong.

When the clause was in place the player could have gone at any time for the £23.5m clause figure, so we didn't hold the cards at all. Now it's expired he can only go for what we choose to accept for him, so we're back in control.

A club could have bid any figure they liked when the clause was in place, it's just that they'd have been guaranteed to succeed at £23.5m

4 million plus Naismith. Not a penny more.
Arsenal style total bid of £4,000,001; I like it.

I can accept Fellaini going if the cash buys us two quality players (it won't though, we'll get McCarthy and the rest will disappear - and for that reason I'm out), but Baines CANNOT go - irreplacable!

The clause expired on the 31st July Dave. The rumoured bid values are £12m for Baines & £16m for Fellaini, lol.

I think I'm not alone in thinking that David Moyes is proving himself to be an absolutely cnut. I have every faith that he will fail badly as Man Utd manager and get the sack in the next 2 years.

He's a ball bag that will stab his own manager in the back. Wait and see. This is all just part of the choreography organized by United and Everton's owners.

I said before the window opened we'd have a negative net spend this window, regardless of all the hype about spending big with the extra 25M revenue. Unfortunately, that looks like it'll come to pass now.

Time for the Board to actually show a bit of strength here and support their new manager. Looking at Martinez's comments last week, we have been expecting the bids and I think we will have a plan b if those players do go. We just have to make sure we get good money for them. Take Daniel Levy's lead and play hard ball.

Don't agree mate. Spurs actually brought players before playing hardball. The influence of these player on team can't be underestimated and at this time too much risk to loose influence of these players even if there are replacement lined up. If they would have offered good money a month back or so, then there was time to recruit and integrate new players. They could have made the bids anytime. They flirted with lot of players before deciding to screw good old mate since he never says no. Time to grow some balls.
