Shouldn't sell them anyone at this moment. Apart from piss taking bid, timing is insulting. Even if they offer more money, there is not enough time left to replace them properly.

Time for the Board to actually show a bit of strength here and support their new manager. Looking at Martinez's comments last week, we have been expecting the bids and I think we will have a plan b if those players do go. We just have to make sure we get good money for them. Take Daniel Levy's lead and play hard ball.

Big worry that we'll do a deal for Fellaini and rush out and find Uncle Whelan is holding us to ransom with McCarthy.

There's a big world of players out there Bobby lad! If you end up taking all of your staff and a good few players, there won't be many excuses left for a relegated team

So our season is to be wrecked at the outset by the man who wished for his *great legacy* to be carried on with *the great bunch of lads* he left behind? The same feller who was determined *to help* the new manager of Everton all he could to make the transition?

....and all for a piss take fee.

I dont get this thinking. They could of bid lower at any time, they didn't need to wait for the clause to expire to do it.

The only reason they are bidding now, is cause koff Moylez is panicking. IMO

There was a lot of rumoured interest in Felli but no one matched the £23m clause, making a lower bid when the clause was in place would have been a waste of time as we held all the cards. We don't now. No one wanted him for £23 million so like any auction they are starting at a lower value to tempt our resolve.

It sounds like they have gone 'angrily' to The Echo, instead of firing a raging press release out. That's too meek for my liking.

Not so sure mate. We have put all of the details into the echo and it is now on every major news outlet in the country with all the journos basically saying what a derisory bid this is, digging up comments moyes made in the past about transfer dealings and generally making United look a bit foolish. A statement on our website would have only served the same purpose.

I personally don't understand why most people think Baines is only worth around £17M. He is widely regarded as the best left back in the world. Surley being the best in the world in your position is more than £18M even if he only plays LB.

It's on us to hold Moyes to ransom. He's flailing in the transfer market, and we should be making him squirm - not worrying about what we'd do if we gave up and sold Fellaini to him.

Errr. We hold MORE cards without the clause than we did with it. Before we would have HAD TO accept £23m, which is still below market value (could have still accepted less of course), whereas now, we can set the price as we wish.
