Quite often clubs "embargo" things from their press conferences until late in the day, which is clearly what happened today. Many journos were asked if this was discussed and it was met with a wall of silence, in fact some of us was fuming that it hadn't been brought up in M***s press conference, when it had, but the press weren't allowed to mention it.

It begs the question why was this embargoed until a few hours before we kick off our first home game. Is this deliberate? Martinez would have been able to better control it amongst the squad if it'd come out fist thing today instead of 22:30 at night. Smacks of trying to further unsettle our players

The problem is if a bid is accepted it'll be undisclosed anyway so we won't know if we've won this little battle or not. Either way moyes loses though, as far as I'm concerned.

If they do go to OT, there is no way the club would be able to say it was for "an undisclosed fee".

That would drive a wedge between the club and the fans which is the last thibg we can afford right now.

And they won't be able to accept less than circa £37 million IMO or else it would be the same outcome.

I can't believe Moyes comments, I'm appalled to be honest. He used to have so much dignity.

I always remember when we finished 4th above Liverpool and Moyes praised them for winning the Champions League. Then Benetitz criticized us by calling us a small club and I thought just look at the difference.

Now Moyes is at Man Utd he is starting to show his true colors. His ego for a guy who has never won a trophy in his career is quite staggering.

ok, i know i missed the quote by a good hour or so(damn you Iron Man 3!), but when the **** has Moyes EVER been about the players doing whats best by them?! The cheeky ***t publicly lambasted Lescott when he went to DOUBLE his income AND wound up winning trophy.

I love how someone asked 'would you have accepted that bid' and he realized what a **** he sounded like..

We all know United will win and end up taking one of them for a bargain price.

I'll go for 15m Baines.

If things don't go the way of the fan's then this could be the end for Bill's big train set, We're in a massive transition at the moment and I think he would be crazy to go against our wishes with regards to player sales.

With a massive fan revolt (He's never far from one) in mind I don't think Billy boy will be playing ball with United

you know, i was in favor of selling fellaini and building up the squad, but at this point, **** it. All of the players i wanted have been bought by other clubs(Fer, Bony, Capoue), Fellaini is most decidedly better than the player linked to replace him(der).

This should be a 'Bad News Bears'/'Major League' moment. Except Everton aren't ****.

I don't think he has the credentials to be our manager either and feel he struck gold. Winning sweet **** all and getting the biggest job in world football? because your pally with Ferguson and your scottish? Yeah i agree with your comment.

Biggest job in world football? Jesus, someone has been watching alot of SSN!

The biggest job in England yes, but not in world football, so I suggest you hop-on-down off your high horse LAD.

makes me wonder when moyes gets sacked, if Martinez moves on would Kenwright even consider re-hiring him. Honestly, what he is doing here is worse than what Benitez said about the club. Great, a rival manager said the club is small. The FORMER manager who spent 11 years hereis saying we should sell players for pittance because 'thats good for their careers'.
