Absolutely brilliant comments them from Martinez them.

"If managers start talking about players who are registered with other clubs it's the end of the whole thing. People should look after their own things internally. I am sure they have their own issues. I could come out and give my opinions about his players, but I will be a bit more respectful than that. "

"We don't want to sell, that's our position," he added. "Everyone can have an opinion on a player's worth but when you offer below what a club paid for a player, after five years of development [Fellaini], then it is a nonsense. It is a bit of a farce really."

Subtext: "keep your turbo charged ego to yourself and your beak out of my business, Ferguson's ginger lap dog"

The opinion that because nobody met felli's 23m release clause, then he is worth less is absolute rubbish. a value fluctuates as situations change. As the deadline nears the value goes up, so pay up or shut up you patronising tw@t.

Interesting post, and some reasonable views, but I don't know were your idea comes from that if you buy two players from one club you get a discount on the individual value! Next thing, Moyes will be bidding low for three players, or eventually a whole team, at a knock down price ( Moyes; ' Hello Brenda...I'll give you £75 million for your first eleven....take it or leave it') Seriously,I think that Moyes has already begun to understand that the United job, into which he was coerced by Fergie, is a job too far for him, and he would have been better off staying in his cosy nest at Everton, bull****ting his way to his annual £3 million or so a year.....boats are well and truly burned on that one now, and I think he's on the way back to the Championship, his true level, within 12 months.

As much of a bell end Moyes has been lately, this is a ridiculous statement. How is Moyes' level the Championship? He took a team from being 15th-17th regulars each season to being a top 7/8 club every season. He took us to a cup final, and achieved us a 4th placed finish, which no other outsider of the "Big 4" has done without massive amounts of money.

To suggest Moyes isn't a good manager is bitter. He's an absolute embarrasment of a man though and I hope he fails at United.

Agree with this.

Moyes took us from a terrible 90s to a stable 00s. The biggest legacy Moyes left us with however was stability, which he's doing his utmost now to undo.

Moyes being one of the slimiest men in football shouldn't detract from the good job he did do while our manager.

What an absolutely absurd statement that is.

It would be hilarious if we keep both and united have an everton-style transfer deadline day of signing no one apart from maybe an 18 yr old goalkeeper from berwick rangers.

I thought the reason for the clause was to give us time to find a replacement (which makes Moyes' bid even more insulting). Would seem a bit pointless if a club could sign him on 31st January when it's arguably more difficult to find a replacement.

Exactly that clause is there for fellaini's benifit of a move to a bigger CL club and evertons benifit so they don't get caught short last minute. Now IF utd want to put us in that situation last minute then they HAVE to be prepared to pay through the roof. They could of signed him over the last 2 months with no hassles. Obviously is a player who was well down there list of targets....

Never mind us telling them to [Poor language removed], Fellaini should!!
