Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

What baffles me about this transfer saga is. Why haven't any other clubs shown an interest in Fellaini, with all this additional tv revenue floating around you'd have thought there would be a plethora of CL clubs vying for his signature ?
Given that many one here are convinced we are selling him far to cheaply,or perhaps he's not so highly rated by other managers.
Either way the enigma remains.

Problem with Felli mate is he lacks drive and pace - he's eye catching for us when used as as a long ball target but for a so called defensive midfielder he's quite ordinary like playing a bit more agressive Peter Crouch there.

(whisper it but getting our money back is a result)

Just because you have a release clause of a certain figure does not mean that's the amount anybody wants to pay for him.

We could put a £50m release clause in Naismith's contract ffs.

People need to stop thinking that the release clause = a player's value. It doesn't work like that.

The clause reflects the club's valuation of the player. So why sell for less than the club value him? Very odd.

Moyes, however, has clearly used his inside knowledge of the club to get Fellaini as cheaply as possible.

If you're getting annoyed by the fake news/untrue £20m bid thing for Fellaini tonight, you might want to avoid it tomorrow night when Martinez rests Fellaini and plays fringe players, because that will obviously mean he's on his way to Carrington for a medical.

The club won't sell for less than the release clause fee stated, after making their position very clear so publicly.

Unless you think Martinez is a liar.

Because if nobody wants to meet that valuation you're not going to sell him ? Not rocket science.

Fellaini is currently our most valuable player, and his value will only decrease as his contract runs down and he gets older. If Martinez thinks it makes sense to sell the player for £20m and use that money to invest in the squad then that's the sensible thing to do.

hahaha £20m for felli and £15m for McCarthey.

there is somthing wrong with that isnt there.

oh christ if that happens then bobby is defo gonna look like a d1ck imo.

£20m isn't enough for Fellaini if true, it just isn't. If clubs don't think he's worth that then sod them we don't sell him, because he's worth comfortably £25m in today's market, and he's our best centre mid by far.

Selling him for £20m and buying McCarthy for £15m would be terrible business. If the figures floating round are to be believed.
