I don't think so.

My take, FWIW, is that Roberto is resigned to losing both players and isn't entirely unhappy about it.

I think he has given Bill the gree light to sell and his "I am out of it" comment means that he is leaving the price haggling to others, i.e. Bill amd Moyes.

Furthermore, I think Roberto has deals for replacements in place, subject to the double bid being accepted and the players on their way out.


IMO Roberto is conducting himself very well and EFC will emerge from all this nonsense with a better balanced squad.
 
To put a little context on this, Carrick is a solid top 6 prem midfielder, nothing more nothing less, wont let you down, wont earn you points, rafael is one of the better young right backs in the league along with the spurs guy and coleman, id prefer coleman the mancs prefer rafael most likely each to their own etc, Utds team is basically a top 6 team of solid prem players which has a few absolute world class players in it in Vidic, Rooney and Van Persie, the strenght of it is that they dont have any utter dogs playing for them either and the core of the team is very very well gelled.

Problem for them now is that they lost arguably their best asset in Ferguson and replaced him with just a decent manager, so to keep where they have been they need to improve the squad to compensate

He is about to spend £15 million on McCarthy, lets not start praising him until he has learned that there are other clubs in football apart from them.
 

So today they've had bids rejected by both Roma and Bilbao for midfielders, as they've tried to low ball the deal.

Unbelievable.

I pity Moyes if he has genuinely only just realised that he has the money to bid for Herrera, or if he thinks that making a joke bid for a player of that class is going to impress anyone. That lad is good enough to play for anyone, and has a 36 million euro release clause.

If Fellaini does go, a bid for him would be much better than less money on McCarthy. He probably wouldnt join us, mind.

Carrick is to United, what Gibson is to us.

Only the fans of these teams massively rate them.

Thats down to the fact that thses fans watch these players week in, week out.
