I understand what Khalekan's saying, but I never ever could want the sh!te to win under any circumstances
I can handle a draw, that suits me for this one
Right. I agree Baines is probably the best..but casual viewers, especially ignorant American ones (who like or want to try watching but really don't understand or appreciate the little things at this high a level yet, and probably havent played since they were 10 years old), do NOT recognize that. They do recognize a big, fiery, bruiser whose easy to spot, can score goals and flash some ball skills. That's all I was saying.
I'm an ignorant American who never played the game and have only been watching for about four years, but I can see the nuances in Baines' game. Baines is our best player, hands down. Fellaini is a class player, don't get me wrong. But what Leighton Baines means to Everton far outweighs what Marouane Fellaini means to Everton. Baines can pick a cross or a through ball like it's nobody's business (imagine if we had someone on the other end who could finish them). So while I see your point, and I am still learning the game, not all of us Americans are completely clueless!

Actually no it is not the brutal logic of the game. Had Kenwright treated Moyes with the respect he deserved i.e. none, and fired him prior to his taking up the position at Manure we wouldnt be in this position now - he would have then only approached us with serious offers for the pair, or better still, made no offer at all.
Kenwrong had the chance to damage Moyes career in the same way he sabotaged our clubs prospects - he missed it. Thats the only brutal logic as far as I can see.
He could have left out the "awful manager" bit.
And told the truth
"I had a poor record there because I'm a manager who bottles the big occasion".
Or he could have said that he was cheated out of a win at Anfield last season by a poor decision from the ref.
But no.
Not old Davey.
He will always big up the opposition.

DM on why he has never won at anafield -thank god he has gone - what a pathetic excuse! Moyes, who takes United to Liverpool on Sunday for the first time, never won there in the league during 11 years as Everton manager. He said: "It was down to Liverpool having really good teams with people like Xabi Alonso, [Javier] Mascherano, [Fernando] Torres at his pomp, Steven Gerrard – they had really good teams at that time and were one of the teams that went on to win the European Cup. That's why it was very difficult to win regular games at Anfield because of the quality of the side they had."-
