I'd love it if we sell them, and we spend it on a few top quality players on cracking deals and have a blinder of a season - just to show that we are EVERTON, and that one, two, three or four players, or even a manager that "carried" us are not bigger than the club.
Wont happen though Kenwright will yet again go thru another pre season in the red, he is a tw@ also, put our manager on the stand to be ridiculed by saying he has said he will get us champions league and then he gives him 6million to spend when southampton, swansea and norwich have massively out spent us, and any everton fan is deluded if they think we will sign another player for cash money this window without selling first, Felli will go IMHO and then we wont spend what we recieve.

How do you know what Kenwright wants or will accept ? what is this knowledge based on ?
Is it from the time that we dragged every last penny from City when they tried to buy Lescott on the cheap ?

There is no record of Kenwright performing poorly in transfer dealings.
It's just at that time people were so anxious to slate Kenwright and give Moyes praise for everything.

We know what's gonna happen, lids.

We'll accept a big offer with an hour left of the transfer window when we've got no one to spend it on then the money will have disappeared by January.

True,

Regardless of if he will give all the money to Martines or put it in his pocket (like many here think) why will he accept 16M if he knows he can get 23M?

It was pretty bad when Everton lost millions because no one printed off Dan Gosling's contract.

The £50m price tag Kenwright slapped on Wayne Rooney's head didn't last long either.

By the way, if anything, Baines might push for a move more than Fellaini for the following reasons:

The season after this, he will be 30, so it’s now or never if he wants to play in the CL, while Fellaini knows very well that he will play CL in the near future, either with Everton if we qualify or when he eventually leaves (next summer we will be forced to sell him because 2 years will remain on his contract)

Fellaini’s place in Belgium’s starting eleven is guaranteed, if anything him staying here is better option than moving to United and not settling in well or not becoming first team regular and losing his place in the national team, while Baines might think that playing for United and CL gives him more chance to replace Cole over playing for Everton

Moyes and the coaches he appointed alongside him are responsible for that situation same as the board

If that happens I say we take to the power cables around Walton so that e-mails or phone calls can be made between us and United.

Moyes has rang Baines and asked him to put in a transfer request. Baines has said he won't. If Everton accept bid though hell be off.

Another point:

With the club making the bids public (remember it was us who announced the first Baines bid and the latest joint offer) they simply cannot sell at the deadline day and say “it happened so late in the window”.

In private they can (maybe already did) tell United that Baines will cost XX amount and Fellaini will cost XX amount and they have till the XX days to make the offer, anything beyond that will be rejected right away, they can inform both Baines and Fellaini about this to make sure none of them will become unhappy if we turned down an offer at the deadline day.
