Yeah, supporting city if it meant missing out on Europa was something i would've supported, but top 4..no chance.

New tv deal, surplus money from the last two windows and the CL money...surely Blue Bill would have to give us £40m or so to spend.

martinez says 20 mil could bring 6 players omgz how many could we bring with 40

Think one or two would be better giving up their Everton season tickets and seeing if they can buy a season ticket in the away end at Analfield. Every week you can go along and cheer for whoever the RS are playing

Spot on

It's in our hands...that's all you can ask for.
It is, but Arsenal are still clear favourites as far as I'm concerned. That's not be purposely negative, just the way I honestly see it.

We have to beat them at Goodison, then win our game in hand, then pretty much match their results in the remaining games with us having the more difficult fixtures on paper.

Still a tall order.

Indeed...but still, it's in our hands...we don't have to hope for others to slip up. That's the best case scenario every time.

If Liverpool win the league then fair play to them, they would have been the best, most consistent team in the league. For me though it will not tarnish or gloss over our achievement of finishing 4th if we make it.

We have a great chance and its in our hands. I am more optimistic this season than i have been for a long time. If we can get champions league then hopefully it will provide us with the resources to match what the manager and his staff have bought to the club and push us on and give us the opportunity to be challenging for the title in the very near future.... In Roberto we trust

I couldn't have put it any better myself.

We don't get that money from the Champions League unless we were to win the qualifier, the second leg of which isn't until August, and i don't think Martinez would stall getting his targets until then. After that we'd just be buying more players for the sake of it.

I'd rather we spend the amount owed from player sales, £25m or so, but get in top quality players and use any other money to fund top quality wages.

I don't see us needing as many players as some seem to think, to be honest. We are, in my opinion, three top quality permanent signings away from a very good squad.

The matching their results thing is only an issue on the assumption they will win everyone of their remaining games.

They got beat by Stoke and drew at home to Swansea in 2 of their last 5 league games. In total, they have won only 1 of their last 5 league games. Their form isn't that great at the moment. Yeah, they've been here before and they have experience of a run in, fighting for 4th. No guarantee they will do it this year though. I think it all hinges on next Sunday. We have the momentum and belief right now.
