...slightly off thread but interesting comment from Tony Cascarino that the reds might be the first team to win the league on penalties.

But dont you get it mate? Wanting Everton to win means you want Liverpool as champions. I'd rather we scored 10 own goals against City. Thatd show those smug red sods.I want Everton to win.
YNWA.

It's not just about Liverpool winning the league though.
It's a choice between Everton doing well or not doing so well, with a side effect that it might help or hinder them.
I don't think any Everton fan wants them winning it but Everton winning is way more important.
Mate, I also prefer them not winning the title. In fact, I prefer them not winning a single game anymore during their existance. However, given the choice as stated in this poll, then again I stand by my words that I happily give them the title by beating City and so securing fourth place and CL at Goodison. Everton love>Liverpool hate and that will never change.No....not "wanting" them to win the league is one thing......it should be axiomatic for any Blue.
What we have moved on to is this strange idea emanating from some of our chums on here that they are really NEA if Liverpool win sommat irrespective of us helping them do it.
I think that is bizarre.
But hey.....let's just hope Citeh and Chelsea go to The Pit and do their own thang rendering this debate moot.
Wanting Everton to win means you want Liverpool as champions.
In the news today was a critical comment from Distin. Pointing out that there were Everton fans who would rather miss out on the Cl or EL if it meant Liverpool would not win the PL.
There are a number of fans here on GOT who have exactly voiced that comment, I would like to ask of you if you feel that way, how can you call yourself an Everton fan.
You should want Everton to win no matter what the other side does.
Would you want Everton to win if winning meant we lost the league ?
I see you. I see what you are doing.Honestly though lads, I only care about everton.
If them winning the quadruple meant that we won a throw in in the 90th minute of a game when already 8-0 up, I'd go to anfield dressed in a cheeleading outfit and massage stevie g's shoulders, nea.
Only care about the mighty bloos, me. Cos I'm not like other everton fans, I'm not all bitter like you bitter bitter guys.
