Mate, I also prefer them not winning the title. In fact, I prefer them not winning a single game anymore during their existance. However, given the choice as stated in this poll, then again I stand by my words that I happily give them the title by beating City and so securing fourth place and CL at Goodison. Everton love>Liverpool hate and that will never change.

We have already established that the overwhelming majority of us on here are more than prepared to hold our noses and accept them winning the league if it means we win against Citeh and get in the CL.

What we are now talking about is the notion that Liverpool Football Club operates in some sort of a vacumn and we as Evertonians shouldn't care less about what they win or don't win.

In the news today was a critical comment from Distin. Pointing out that there were Everton fans who would rather miss out on the Cl or EL if it meant Liverpool would not win the PL.

There are a number of fans here on GOT who have exactly voiced that comment, I would like to ask of you if you feel that way, how can you call yourself an Everton fan.

You should want Everton to win no matter what the other side does.

Any football club who has no real rivalry with another club is probably not worth the bother. And I accept that for those living on Merseyside and who have to put up with those loveable neighbours from across the park have a even more intense sense of that rivalry. Our history with that lot simply can't or shouldn't be denied. As a foreign blue I understand and accept that it's different for the locals. Hell, Liverpool isn't even my most hated club in world football.

Why should I ask myself, it is an unanswerable question you pose. Tell you what you answer your own question. I merely passed on an item of news I had seen today and felt it was relevant.

I repeat I am only interested in Everton and always want them to win. I don't give tuppence for what any other club is doing or could do.

Funny thing is about half or more of those voting for yes they'd rather lose are pretty much new accounts created by RAWK muppets or people who we pretty much know are rs WUMs. even so at 5-6% voting yes its bloody ridiculous

Said it before and I'll say it again.

If it meant Everton playing in the Champions League next season I'd hand Gerrard the trophy and put medals over all of the players necks.

Everton, Liverpool should be at best an afterthought.
