I'd love to see that email.

Now, I don't know the ins and outs of all this legal stuff but I personally think Everton REALLY should start some proper positive communication with the main unofficial sites. It makes sense seeing as majority of fans are using fan websites these days. You'd think Everton would realise this and at least be greedy and try and make some money out of it. But no, instead they're going to go against the websites set up to support Everton.

Also, I'd be hugely insulted if I were the owner of any of these sites seeing as they're putting money into something which supports Everton and not making money from it themselves yet Everton are more interesting in taking legal action than realizing this.

HAHAHAHA!!!

I'm so tempted to petition Ian Ross right now. Every time I look on here and see this thread I actually get a bit angry.

I don't doubt that the Ebepton will write to people claiming to be "Ebeptonians" soon saying they cannot claim to be that as they are infringing Ebepton's trademarks and copyright.

The good news is that English Interlectual Property Law's being reviewed and that review will be published next month.

It'll be looking to bring it more into line with American law. So there is less stifling/bullying of groups of people like GOT and everyone on here.

I can tell you tonight for the first time ever I'm considering not renewing my season ticket.

The stupid idiots (using my right to comment on news) don't realise that they are alienating the people who put money into the Ebepton. The customers, the likes of people on this forum!

I'm completely shocked, appalled, disgusted by the behaviour of Ebepton towards it's own fans that work in advocating supporting Ebepton far more than any employee of the club does, or this board.

The context is it's not like GOT/NSNO or whatever have been printing duplicate shirts or anything that would stop people buying official merchandise...

KENWRIGHT / EFC BOARD OUT!

It's not really all that much of a problem is it? Just don't use it. Plenty of other things to choose from.

The club are being tits about it, sound. Let's not riot like.

They'll be getting less money out of me due to their behaviour. That's for sure.

Its the principle of them trying to undermine our freedom of speech.

Not only that, the freedom of speech from the Ebepton supporter that has brought more supporters to the club, than some of the personalities in charge have !!!!

They have totally got their priorities out of order. Totally.

Why defend the indefensible. Davek on this occasion can rightly have field day with this ted behaviour.

All this freedom of speech outcry should be saved for the Daily Mail types.

Pull yourselves together lids and stop thrashing the keyboard.

Sorry lad. You've got me confused with someone else.

Freedom of Speech/Expression is very important lad.

Very important.

And I wouldn't mind GOT's brought more fans to the club than some individuals at the club ever have.

Chill folks. You all know this isn't new.

By all accounts, the Club would permit use of the crest.

The problem is being reliant on sought permission being passed to their legal lot. We tried that, it continually failed to our financial expense. It wasn't worth the time and effort to be continually reminding people that we had permission for the crest. They'd only get the hump and then move on to "Well images and fixture lists...".

It's the fixture lists that annoy me. I can't tell fans when Everton are playing without paying a couple of grand....

I'll swim against the tide when needs be, this isn't one of them.

The Club have been alright with us. They don't help us but they don't get in the way either. That'll do.

They won't be able to hinder you if the proposed changes in UK law happen. (in that review)

And you won't have to check or seek permission from their legal lot if the changes to the law happen.

I'll buzz if that happens.

Its the reason why Google and Facebook told the government they could never of started in the UK. This sort of behaviour from Ebepton. Stifling creativity.
