Everton Crest Reminder

Now, I don't know the ins and outs of all this legal stuff but I personally think Everton REALLY should start some proper positive communication with the main unofficial sites. It makes sense seeing as majority of fans are using fan websites these days. You'd think Everton would realise this and at least be greedy and try and make some money out of it. But no, instead they're going to go against the websites set up to support Everton.

Also, I'd be hugely insulted if I were the owner of any of these sites seeing as they're putting money into something which supports Everton and not making money from it themselves yet Everton are more interesting in taking legal action than realizing this.

#AngryHelen.

So if the game isn't airing on TV in my country, there is still, in 2011, no way for me to legally purchase a stream of the match and put revenue directly into the club and league's pockets -- however they are "protecting their brand" by making sure fans don't post pictures (for no profit) of the crest.

I also enjoy how the league doesn't let people post the league standings or fixture list anywhere. You can't go anywhere on the internet without tripping over an illegal stream of actual games but don't post the precious fixture list or you're done for.

Anyway, message received ... no crests. That's some fine lawyerin' ...

Maybe this ties in with their campaign to get people to stamp 'COYB' on a picture of themselves and to repost it to your avatar on social networking sites? They're a sly bunch.

yet again the club shock me to my core with absolute disgusting ott behavior towards there fans.

........." give us your money , buy our stuff , support us.... but you cant have an opinion , or critisize , or use the clubs initials ,players or crest in any way shape or form .in return we will follow poor financial standards , fritter away our income , take no notice of the fans , sell our assetts and not invest adequatly in the team season after season . thankyou ... ps season tickets are now on sale so you can get nothing back for your money except contempt from us next season too "

Can't use that, it has red in it!

This isn't anything new lads and nothing worth causing a song and dance over.

All we want is an easy life! A while back I had to pay a server reconnection fee on the back of the website being taken down because we displayed a crest (which the club at the time provided permission for). I decided then to simply oblige with nr-online, no need to cause unnecessary hassles.

I have Everton window stickers and a tax-disc holder on my car. Am I breaking Everton law here?

* anyway , " Up Yours Ev***on ! " You didn't make a penny from the sale of them coz I got them for nothing. I work for the printing firm that made them.

** I actually printed the sticker, myself. It's pretty cool and brilliantly printed, If I do say so myself. Which I just did

Danny any service provider disconnecting Grandoldteam.com wrongfully, is liable to pay full costs and damages.

Thats why the ISPs (BT and Talk Talk) applied for and successfully won at the high court - for a review of the Digital Communications Act 2010, as they believe and the high court judge obviously agreed that parts of it could be considered illegal and incompatible with the Human Rights Act and the European Convention on Human Rights.

Get in touch if you're threatened again with that. Those doing the threatening (Ebepton) better be sure of their facts, or they may be held liable for damages.

I don't quite understand how they can stop the word 'Everton' being put on a t-shirt? It's a place name.

Does that mean you are infringing copyright if you live in Everton and write your address down, or put it on a t-shirt...?
