Yeah, that's where I'm hoping you'll come in and hopefully give us some tips.

Been to split twice, albeit fleetingly. I'm staying within the City walls, but would very much appreciate some tips on cheaper bars!
I am from Zagreb, but I will come on the match. I don't know yet if it would be on the day of match or day before. If you come let me know, I know Split very well.

This is the feature tie of the round. Two European greats battling it out in the qualies. Atmosphere on the away leg will be fantastic. And unlike the Kiev fiasco under BBS, RK will have the troops ready.

We're going through.

Why the negativity? Sure I recognise the name, but they're not some European powerhouse are they?! If we're scared of Croatian teams, we might as well jack it in now.

I pooed a brick when I saw the draw but as you said , if we want to win it we have to beat those sort of slightly better than average teams .

Hopefully we can make lots of friends so that when I decide to stay 3 weeks in a beautiful Croatian lighthouse I won't be treated like RS pariah..

YOu are winning this 99%... But if you mess up first game it's going to be very difficult game for you in Split

Just be careful not to underestimate too much, former Yugoslav sides are not competitive anymore but they always have some upcoming talents and are good technically.PSV payed the price yesterday for that

I went on the Trip Advisor Pula forum and asked the local expert for travel advice. Going by plane is only 70 Euro each way but only one flight per day meaning an overnight stay and evening return flight next day. Pula to Zadar then taxi/bus/ferry to split itself. I have to admit seeing the city as you make your way south and it rises above the stadium with some really tough looking tower blocks that reminded me of the Piggeries.

For sure, I'm not saying it'll be easy. It'll be a tough tie for obvious reasons. I'm just saying this is why we play in Europe, for matchups like this, and if anything it gets our name our there more rather than playing some jarg Danish side. AND, we SHOULD win this, and as other posters have mentioned, if we can't win this tie, we don't deserve to be in the competition anyway. We shouldn't necessarily fear anyone, per se, and i'm sure RK won't have any trouble getting the squad to focus on this one.

Im pretty sure there is a ferry from Zadar to Split, would be a more interesting journey than by coach.

Zadar to Split coach is like 2-2.5 hours, so wouldn't be so bad.

I've just done like a good 10-11 days in Croatia, and the 5 hour coach from Zagreb to Split wasn't even that bad.

Worth considering for anyone thinking of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Rijeka or Pula, that it isn't so bad.
