But of course, if you have to drink you beer in the center or on the beach, you will have to pay for that.

But you should do what locals do, buy a beer in the market and go chill on Matejuška or Sustipan

The atmosphere at their place will deafening believe me singing for 90 minutes, people throwing flares and smoke bombs on the pitch, it will probably be quite difficult for some of the younger players to handle. I still think we should comfortably get through like, but it will still be a hard game. While I don't know much about Split as a city, where to drink, the best place to stay etc I can give some basis advice given my parents come from the region. Firstly the beer, don't drink ozujsko, it's an awful beer that leaves you with a sore throat for weeks and on a few occasions. They also have a beer called Karlovacko which is far better and which is much better. The wine is also very good in the in the Balkans if you don't like beer. Also try the Rakija, but only after 3 full meals or you will be off your cake. If you like seafood, then Croatia is great it's some of the best in the world in southern Croatia, if you like things like kebabs and that the try Cevapi the Bosnian version which is one of the best dishes you'' ever try. The people are generally very friendly, however you should still be cautious not to annoy the locals or the police all of whom have ferocious tempers. All in all for anyone who goes it will be a great trip, great food, great destination, great atmosphere, great weather and hopefully a great result.
