I was there with my lad as it went off. It was handbags for about sixty seconds. A bit of shouting and a bit of windmilling. It was actually quite pathetic to watch.

Yet again, the Echo don't let the facts get in the way of a story.

On a foot note I walked across the park to the game with three Old Skool City Casuals and had no problems. Quite the opposite.
Ya thats how it looked in the video.few clowns waiting on their buses mouthing off at easy targets.

I saw at least two city fans be punched to the floor after they had crossed the road to kick off at the Evertonians. I witnessed a little scrote spitting in a woman's face and very little provocation from our fans.

While I agree that it was mostly handbags the fact remains that the City fans involved behaved disgracefully.

It was that frightening that families from both teams continued to walk past towards the main car parks as though nothing was happening. A couple of Coppers turned up, wagged their fingers at them and it all stopped !
I thought that in this day and age home and away fans are always kept well apart.sounds like the police weren't doing their job or is it fairly common place that home fans walk past the away fans buses?

How many did you cut ?

There was a brawl in The Goodison Supper Bar before the game between Everton & City fans, police intervened quickly to calm the situation, there were no serious injuries other than two fish getting battered !!

Lol, it was hardly a brawl though. Seen worse outside Smokey Mo's on a Sunday afternoon !

Stop getting in the way of my fume lid!

I've seen and been involved in far worse things than this in the past but not when there has been such a mix of children, adults and the elderly. That's the main reason for my moaning anyway mate.

Totally agree.
Yes Ross makes mistakes - who the heck doesn't, but he gets singled out mercilessly by some people.

The most bizarre comment last night came from a numpty sat behind me in the Main Stand when around the 20-minute mark a pass from Mo aimed for Gerard was intercepted and said numpty piped up with "GERRIMOFF".
I sat there and shook my head is disbelief.

I was made up later as immediately City equalised, said numpty threw his toys out of the pram and stormed out... could barely have been 500 yards from the ground when Rom despatched that peach of a cross from Gaz Baz :)
Hahahaha, he must be feeling like a right blank now.

Lol, my nine year olds was made up watching it, despite me telling him that it was very naughty to brawl in the road at a footy match !

I was probably stood right by you then mate.

Did you see that blert dancing in front of one of our lads before he clocked him and laid him out on the floor?

Nugget.

Fairly common not to overly segregate fans outside the ground these days so M'side police are pretty much following standard practice.

The only place I can think of that I've been to recently that's still keen on keeping fans miles apart is West Brom.

There's very rarely any trouble.
