While many of our away games have left us super frustrated with draws, it's actually fairly decent only having lost a single away game (which was to Arsenal).

Just a shame we can't do it at home, winning home games and not losing away is a good formula for success, but atm we can only do half.

Some teams enjoy the relative lack of pressure that comes from playing on the road, especially if the home fans can just as easily turn on you as cheer for you. I'm not saying that what it is, but this group seems to flat out enjoy playing on the road in front of a vocal, supportive travelling section - the us and a few of our mates against the world mentality.

Support is better on away games, and expectations are reduced.
At GP expectations are big as it's previously been a fortress.

Aha! I wondered why our home form hasn't been great. Turns out it's not poor tactics, player selection, individual errors or in some cases bad luck, it's us supporters! Well as a season ticket holder of 22 years, can I just apologise from the bottom of my heart.

Edit: Just in case any one accuses me; I've never booed them.

Tbf I do feel a little responsible for the late 90s as my first season ticket was 97 and the Moyes years coincided with me leaving the country and not having a season ticket any more.

We don't have enough good songs init
Thing is if we had the flags and drums ,you'd have all the old fellas moaning about the noise and forever saying "get that flag down"

Nobody will disagree that tactics player selection etc, doesn't count but the great man (HK) mentioned numerous times about the fans and there support ,encouragement in the form of chanting does give the players a lift.
