Crap excuse for piss poor 'support' IMO. They clearly needed a lift from the fans today...never came.

Would it be a better excuse if nobody turned up and instead spent that £50 on taking their kids to the seaside?

The club (and ergo the players) take the fans for granted - The assumption should never be made that people haven't got anything better to do - because at the moment, there's 100 things i'd rather do than watch my football team made up of millionaire players and a millionaire manager struggle to compete in ANY home game.

If we play good football, fans will be happy.

Palace fans make lots of noise too.... doesn't work so well for them does it.

Leicester do their talking on the pitch, and their fans fully deserve to be in full voice...
We on the other hand talk about this so called amazing team, yet can't see to actually turn up for a game at Goodison... then lose for the 8h time at home all season. Leicester on the other hand have lost three games, all season. Yet we've lost 50% of our aways.

Wembley will be a bloody fantastic distraction, but the reality is, thats all it is. A Distraction, and is really the fans reward for putting up with this dross all season. Knowing us, we'll win the cup, and give Martinez a 25-year extension.
Our fans also talk our fans up as the best in the league! Where are they? May aswell be at home watching it on tele

Yes and I stand on my seat with my arms stretched towards the away fans.

I also wear a corduroy jacket mate.

Nothing wrong with a bit of corduroy mate.

Anyway, Seamus said something last week about the crowd always reacting well to an early forceful challenge.

For all the years I've been going to Goodison that's always been the case, if the effort and intensity is there to see then the crowd will respond. If it's not, and there's no magic going forward, then it's always been flat.

Against Chelsea the intensity was there on the pitch and the crowd responded. Today was the opposite. It's not rocket science to work out what's needed to get the crowd going.

Robertoooo being chased by wooly mammoth

What do you mean by this?

Our away form is top 4 quality, our home form is relegation quality. Our away fans are fantastic, our home fans are still great in terms of numbers but not one league game this season has been fantastic in terms of atmosphere.

Maybe because playing away we have more opportunities to play counter attacking football, which we're perfectly suited for.

But no, it's because of the fans being boss away and terrible at Goodison.

Correlation does not imply causation.

remember Bobby's first season of blessed memory?

The first three games were draws.......two of them, home to Baggies and away to Cardiff, wee turgid scoreless draws which would have put a fellow to sleep.

The fourth match, home to Chelsea, was ambling along in the same fashion until Barry appeared from nowhere and made a crunching tackle on one of their players who was about to score.

The Park thundered its approval and it became a cauldron for the rest of that game.
