3 home defeats on the bounce in the league. That's 4 defeats in 5. 8 all season and only 4 wins, 3 of which were against the bottom 3.

The only possible explanation and thing to blame...... must be the fans.

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. Ffs.

Only saying they could provide a lift when things aren't going well. Be a part of the solution instead of contributing to the problem.

That's like finding your wife in bed with somebody and her claiming 'well you could have bought me a better Christmas present'. Winning home games should be expected, it's the players responsibility, not the fans who have to pay to watch this dross.

Today we got done by a better team, usually we're playing better than our opponents but for some reason or the other we crumble.

I think the problem is psychological, and i think it comes from Martinez' mind since his Wigan team was also prone to that.

Doesn't make it right. Perhaps a little lift when things are flat on the pitch would be a bit more constructive?

I agree with you for the most part our fans are very impatient and I can't stand the booing of the players but the game today highlighted the poor work ethic/fitness issues of the team which makes it so hard for people to get behind them.

watching a team that played just 3 days before chasing a 2 goal deficit to the hardest team to press on the planet in their own ground come here and outwork us is horrible. It's too much of a common occurrence and Everton fans tend to react to fighters not flair players.

The atmosphere was dead yesterday, but it was a 12:45 kick off which never helps and we were absolutely awful for nearly every one of the 90 minutes. I actually think the crowd, while quiet, was quite supportive in the main until finally getting tired of it second half.

Find it funny that some people who don't go the game for whatever reason are telling people who do how they should support the team or at least partially blaming our poor performances on the atmosphere. The atmosphere was great for 80 minutes against West Ham, for example, didn't stop us conceding 3 goals in 10 minutes and throwing away another two goal lead.

It's easy to say the crowd should be more positive when you don't spend money and time going the match. And I understand if you don't, you might live miles away, have kids you only see at the weekend, be absolutely skint or whatever. But as a skint student I've spent over £1,000 going to Goodison every other weekend plus numerous aways to watch absolute tosh for the last two seasons. Last week I was part of a crowd which on its day is the best in the country. Yesterday I had the right to be upset. You can't tell me I should sit watching that rubbish and be happy clappy about it.

At the game yesterday crowd were supportive for the most part, finally grew impatient after one too many back passes, poor balls down the wing and into the box and woeful service into our striker. We are awful to watch most of the time.

I do wonder at times, some 'fans' are being more critical of our supporters than they ever have been of Martinez. The fan base is largely the same set of people who went or have been going over the past 15 years. I find it hard to believe that they all decided to not cheer, chant and sing for 90 minutes regardless of performance/result. The team HAS to get the fans going.

It's also a confidence thing too amongst the fan base. Yesterday was the 15th (fifteenth) time in the last 42 home league games the clown in charge has seen his team go behind and not got us to come back and win the game. The last time we did it was Villa, in Feb 2014. He is an abysmal manager who has created the tension/unrest around the club.

And for people who never even go the game to blame the home supporters is unacceptable IMHO. Especially from those who hardly have a bad word to say about the manager.

With all these disgruntled punters I expect semi tickets will be available in abundance for the no STH's amongst the support.

For me, it doesn't matter what you've spent to get to games or how many games you've been to etc....get behind the team during the game and show your displeasure at the END of the game. It's that simple. Giving players and managers grief during the game never improved anything, it just puts more pressure on, encourages the away team and drains confidence. There's a reason managers say 'quieten the crowd down first' when playing away.

Mediocraty on a plate and your expected to clap and appreciate - classic
I don't think that is the point being made. The main issue is the crowd getting on the team or individuals back. It undermines confidence and plays into the opposition's hands. Every commentator and every manager knows it. It has got to a stage that away teams come and use the home crowd as a tactic against us.
