If Digne wanted out he wouldn’t have signed the new deal.

I have no issue with selling Digne down the line. It’s sensible business. Get this lad in, get him bedded in with time to train, get used to the league. And then sell Digne next year

I imagine Digne doesn't like Benitez's style/system mate and fair enough if it doesn't suit his game then he needs to move elsewhere providing we get a good fee.

It’s isn’t fuming for fume’s sake. If we have £17m to spend, why is it not being spent on a right-back?

This lad might be great. I don’t mind the signing, it’s just not needed. And if it has only come about because our manager has fallen out with one of our better players then how ludicrous is that?

You don't know we are not signing a right back mate - just because this one has leaked first/proven to be easier to get over the line doesn't mean we won't also sign a right back in Jan

In fact, devil's advocate for a second, we currently have ONE left back at the club and even he, for whatever reason, is unavailable. We have TWO fit right backs - both of them need replacing, but you could easily argue that left back is currently a bigger priority

Nobody likes the system, it’s crap

This lad is by all accounts and attacking full-back too

We had 2 big holes to fill in the squad, yet have spent money fixing a hole that wasn’t there

it’s mad that the one time Everton are actually proactive and get ahead of the market (great), it’s to fill a position that didn’t need filling

He had no right to turn down a starting place. None at all.

He crossed a line here with that refusal.

Ideally I'd keep him here and freeze him out for 6 months then sell him. But we need the cash so he can have his transfer with pleasure. Just glad to get anyone who wont pull on that famous blue jersey when offered it to help the team out.

Benitez is going nowhere mate.

People need to accept that and accept the system should get better when he has more than 1-2 of his own players in the starting 11.

Fans need to have a bit of patience - the constant upheaval/banners/crying needs to stop.

Actually hope we get Maitland-Niles on loan with a view to a perm. Remember when he first came onto the scene he looked a very good right back, but then decided he didn’t want to be one anymore. If he’s happy to play there he could be an absolute bargain. Arsenal have treated him terribly.
