I have to say signing players whose names no one can say thus avoiding any chance they can here the Park End yelling at them is a strategy I wouldn't have thought of.

This is exactly what we have been doing for the last 5 years and where has it gotten us? We'll have keane in the squad till hes 33 and probably on close to £100k.

Were not liverpool, Chelsea, United or City. We cant have old players sat on our bench earning crazy money. You have to be realistic and whats real is we don't bring in enough money to pay people who aren't contributing the wages we'll be forced to pay.

Its all well and good saying keep hold of players at their peak and build around them but that means signing them on contracts that cover them into their 30s. Evertons problem is we aren't run like a business we're run like a joke and selling g players high and buying low is good business. I bet if we did that more often we'd be in a damn site better position then the one we're in now.

We're not selling digne for £20m it'll be closer to £30m so we'll of made £10m and be paying alot less in wages so we'll be better off. If this player is better suited to the managers system then digne is then its good business.

That's because we can't sell our bad players in poor recruitment.

You don't force out a 28 year old 1st team player who is one of the best in the league at his job. If a team wants to buy and forces our hand, that's the nature of the business. Not.."he's 28, let's sell."

Our transfers have nothing to do with the ages, it's the quality and lack of strategy.

I do love how we're now in the realm of signing a new key player with an eye on selling him down the line to be called a successful transfer.

Why would they make a very generous bid for a player frozen out who is clearly not part of the manager's plans. I'm not sure we have a great negotiating position. We showed our hand early and it's a 2 and a 3. I expect 20m or so at best.

Bissouma under investigation for sexual assault mate. Stay clear. Great player but he won't be getting signed by anyone for a while.

Kamara is the one we should be going for IMO. Out of contract at the end of the season at Marseille, natural holding player so would free up Allan to push on and we could actually play 433 (or a variation of) properly. May have had an injury this season mind, not 100% sure/

Wonder if we might try to sign another Russian speaking player to help Mykolenko settle over here. We’ve been linked with Arsen Zakharyan from Dinamo Moscow and Aleksandr Golovin from Monaco in the last few months as well as the Georgian lad Kvaratskhelia from Rubin Kazan.

Mykolenko is a smarterscout young prospect, so our algorithm expects him to play at a higher level. And if Digne were staying, then having a 22yo come in eventually to succeed a 28yo would make sense. But it's not clear that Mykolenko is ready now.

Basically, backs up what I said earlier.

If this signing would be a view to him being Digne's replacement in 6-18 months' time, then great. Sensible move. He's got that time to bed into the country, the team and he's only 22 and very raw, so will need time.

it's not a sensible move to just try and flog a key player who is quite literally better than Mykolenko at everything right now
