Basically, backs up what I said earlier.

If this signing would be a view to him being Digne's replacement in 6-18 months' time, then great. Sensible move. He's got that time to bed into the country, the team and he's only 22 and very raw, so will need time.

it's not a sensible move to just try and flog a key player who is quite literally better than Mykolenko at everything right now
I know nothing about Mykolenko, I hadn't even heard of him before so I can't say if he would be a good or bad signing.

But, I can say that in my opinion the left side of our defence has been better in the last three games with Godfrey than it was previously with Digne

That is not an argument to sell the player because they all go through bad patches and Digne has been going through one imo for nearly twelve months.
Up to Christmas last year he had a purple patch with JR but I thought his form fell off a cliff after Christmas.

Really? You watched Jordan Ayew constantly get at him the other day and thought that? You watched him play LWB yesterday and thought that?

I like Godfrey. I don't mind him at LB in certain situations. But he isn't a full-back and should not be playing there unless there's emergencies or it suits for him to go up against a certain player (i.e. Saka who he did a good job on)

You do realise Digne was injured from the end of November and should have been out for 3-4 months? He came back in six weeks, and in that time Ancelotti had had to go very defensive into that 442/451 system because we had tons of injuries (shock).

He wasn't great at the back end of last season but still finished as our most creative player in the league. He's still our second most creative player this season, which shows how crap our attack has been.

I have no faith or willingness to believe anything this manager does is right, because he's an appalling manager.

I have to say signing players whose names no one can say thus avoiding any chance they can here the Park End yelling at them is a strategy I wouldn't have thought of.
