Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

You compared him to Hibbert, mate.

Hibbert got zero goals and ten assist in his entire Everton premiership career
Coleman got 26 goals and 32 assists

He was exceptional in his pomp, people just chose to forget that for some reason
Coleman was , in his prime , a very good attacking full back but was never great defensively.

A real tryer though. Always gave 100%.

Really should never have been made captain.

Here you go @dutchblue54, from the summer window. He also has some insight into Man City's transfer dealings and a vital snippet on Sigurdsson.

I could see Hysaj as a likely target. Leaving Napoli on a free and we need a new right back.

No idea. Probably someone we've never heard much about as he did with Casameiro at Madrid, Jorginho at Napoli etc.

Nunes will likely be our 1st signing.

I imagine there's going to be a big clear out this summer too.

Linked with Ayoze Perez now for 20-25 mil. Apparently Leicester want to sell. Loan to buy option being touted.

He also describes Rafael as the best manager that he's ever worked with.

Linked with Seferovic for £26 mil now.

Rondon likely won't be coming here, he has offers in Turkey.

Advanced talks with Barcelona for Coutinho. Nunes should be our first signing.

Rafael has asked for Koulibaly. 35 mil being touted.

I believe I said Mina would be going as the management team don't rate him.

I've also spoken about Perez before anyone else and a few others.

I report it as I hear it.

Nothing new. I think we all know Dumfries is close to being done.

We're not going to be going out and spending huge sums before selling anyone.

As I said before, don't expect a mass exodus of players.

Sigurdsson isn't going anywhere. Rafael has wanted to sign him for years.

Nunes deal back on.

We want 40 mil for Kean and 25 mil for James.

Man City have put Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Layporte for sale.

I posted this earlier, but it didn't go through.

James now wanted by Porto, Juventus, AC Milan and Real Madrid.

We have made enquiries in to Antony at Ajax and Perez at Leicester.

Rafael is apparently interested in Gabigol.

Hoppe - 1.2 mil
Buta - 3.5 mil
Pereira - Loan

We've been talking to Correa's reps for a few months now.

Newcastle want Holegate and are willing to do a swap deal for Sean Longstaff.

We still have big interest in Hudson-Odoi and Bellerin. Don't think it's very advanced at the moment though.

I had a mate like that growing up. Would try it on with near every girl in the nightclub and eventually he would pull.
He wouldnt worry about the continual knock backs, only remembered the successes.
Im sure he was a Man U fan so couldnt be @Theoneandonly surely?

Had to delete an attempt to reply without the other aspects mentioned. Not on here that much to know how it all works.

Yeah, it would've been, and it was very, very close to being done. Patterson got covid in the week that it was all being done, the last week of the window. Rangers refused him the right to talk to us via zoom and also disengaged with his agent. I was told they expected another higher monetary transfer bid to come in, which would've negated the need to sell him. It never came.

14m is still a good deal. I guarantee you we make the money back, and some or secure our right back for many years.

Ramsay, I'm still no sure of completely. I'm a slave to the Scottish game, still speak with many still actively involved. He's impressed me and those I've spoken to, but I feel like there is a ceiling there that's not the same with Patterson.

Thanks for your insight, for the ones like myself who’ve never seen him play it’s appreciated

Coutinho or Barkley on loan is ok if we don't have the funds to buy now I suppose(probably take Barkley short term of the two personally Coutinho is very injury prone) but we seriously should be looking at younger number tens like the lad at Coventry long term. Iwobi needs moving on and who knows what is happening with Iceland, he is probably done come the summer regardless .
Coutinho & Barkley !!!

One is finished
The other never got started

The very worst of signings.

Absolute disaster.

To be fair, I think the lad just doesn't like playing football. Gets zero enjoyment out of it. Not uncommon.

But the Conquistador had a number 10...didn't want him...now wants one.
I think he is just one of these people who a bit like Michael Owen have loads of ability but the reality is that their bodies are not up to the rigours of playing professional sport. they end up spending more of their career out of the game than actually in it and just get fed up, it's a shame really.
