We aren’t buying 3 top class midfielders though, so sometimes you need to be realistic. Is he a better option than Delph and Gbamin? Yes.

And thats the problem - fans think we have £100 million to blow and get angry seeing us scrape around the bargain bin for players like Longstaff, Townie & Rondon like Benitez is purposely refusing to sign Top 7 quality £30+ million players instead.

You cant waste the dough we have these past 3-4 years under FFP and not have 1-2 windows of austerity and budget signings to rebalance the books.

We'll only be spending dough on the Ukranian Lad and a RB because we'll be flogging Digne most likely.

Doubt we do anymore, think moshiris ambition now is solely to survive while the stadium gets built, palace are trying to build a young talented progressive team
Remember when Moshiri came in, he said "we have a very small window to break in to the top teams" and then went and spaffed half a billion quid on the absolutely wrong choices time and time again?

Lukaku v Coleman. Give me a minute. The point is people who talk about Coleman and about how great he was . Always bring up how much he cost. You don’t get extra points for having a cheaper starting 11

You’re right. Additionally, being selected in a PFA team of the season is usually reserved for the calibre of such stars like Djimi Traore and Titus Bramble so you cant really read much into his selection

No I disagree, we will always have more ambition than clubs like palace, rumours are they still want to spend. And they will again in the future.

spending isn’t the only sign of ambition tbf, having a plan to go forward with a young side with a certain style of play headed by a young coach and the balls to stick with it like palace are trying is every bit as ambitious as anything we’ll do over the next few seasons.

An ambitious side doesn’t appoint Benitez as manager nor sticks with him having gone through the worst spell in decades playing anti football
