The current UEFA FFP rules were set up by Platini.
Which probably means your penalty is related to your bribe offer.

In respect of penalties, it's an open book. Anything they see fit.
So it could be a big fine, or demotion by how ever many levels they see fit.
That is how I read it. Could be wrong of course :)
I don’t think the UEFA FFP rules are the ones that concern us at the moment it’s the PL’s own Profit and Sustainability rules that we are technically in breach of at the moment.

honest question - what actually happens to us if we breach FFP? will we get points taken off us or is a fine? if its banned from europe we do that to ourselves by the way we play anyway
There’s two sets to bear in mind, Prem League Profit and Sustainability regs, which no one has been punished for ever iirc (unlike the EFL regs) and the UEFA FFP regs, which teams have fallen foul of.
Obviously they both apply to their respective competitions but the Prem League regs suggest fines and points deductions, UEFA is is fines and exclusion from UEFA comps.

@BigBlueConk is absolutely spot on here...

Two next critical signings should a Centre back and a Defensive midfielder...if we get Patterson over the line.

I see what posters (including Conk) are saying about an "old head" at the back but id go with top quality u23 aged players.

How good have Ruben Dias (24) and Declan Rice (22) been over the past 2 seasons?

We need to find a couple like that...
Do you trust the recruitment, (scouting) to find them zat?

am i right in thinking that the only time that points have been deducted is when clubs have gone into administration but apart from that, its only been fines or bans in the transfer window?

Think Brum were done in the Championship under the EFA P&S rules, possibly Derby too recently, didn’t pay too much attention with what went on with them but though it was over spending rather than running out of money.

couldn't disagree more with the CB should - Branthwaite is at the club and has done nothing to suggest he shouldn't be given more of a go

defensive midfielder maybe, but I think we more need a midfielder with a bit of guile to complement Allan and Doucs

i dont think we have a recruitment team anymore, i just think its Rafael and a couple of coaches ... thats not me trying to be funny or get a reaction, genuinely thats it.

I posted before that Mykolenko was linked in early 2020 and mid 2020. Hes been highly rated for 3 seasons by the media and pops up on the "best u21 defenders/players" profiles.

To be honest, i wouldnt notice but as we were linked i looked into him a bit back then and his name stood out since...plus hes played alot of games for Kiev and Ukraine.

Patterson of course has also been rated highly and is in the Scotland team.

....what im trying to highlight is that these have been very highly rated players and arent 'unknowns' (as some posters have said).

If we follow this method of signing players:

Highly rated
Under 23 years old
Athletic/quick
International experience
European experience
Good mentality

I dont think we go far wrong.

Moshiri wouldn't know a baller from a boot in the nut sac. Joke, absolute laughing stock we are.

I think the other worry is, who in their right mind would buy the club, i really dont think that we could find a buyer if we wanted too. however ,,,, im going off topic in this topic
