Everton January 2022 Transfer Thread

I think we have to have the personnel to play it. Against Brighton we didn’t, but with new players on the right and left it could be quite different

Well I think it's going to be impossible to play it unless he drops Richarlison when fit.

Who gets left out from DCL, Gray or Richie to accommodate the third midfielder.?

I hope we just sign a decent midfielder and go 4-3-3

I’m not sure we have any more money, I’ve seen the links to Lewis O’Brien from Huddersfield, not sure if that’s credible or just pure speculation. Same with Coutinho and Barkley, I think their clubs want to move them on, not sure we are interested.

Signing these 2 full backs who have been targets of the club for a good while just shows Jaffa boy isnt as some think in charge of transfers.

Probably the reason why he got the job ahead of the likes of Nuno who would insist they brought their own staff and players in.

He got the job by being a cheap little yes man rather than his ability.

Wont be long now tho.

What’s O’Brien like? Not sure I can cope with another ex red or that rat tbh

I don't believe 'the fans' have any say in the matter whatsoever

We have an owner whom has no idea what he is doing either people management for footballing matters, and said owner is backing Fat Man to the hilt
I don't disagree but the point comes where he keeps losing and it's totally untenable one win in fifteen who survives that? And yes fans do have a input if they stop going

It’s not formations its the players. Iv never been a big Coleman fan, but him
At his peak with baines as left wing back. And all off a sudden we’re pushing Brighton back and overload the flanks.

That wouid totally change the way their midfield 3 and be forced to go to help out in wide areas or drop deep to help their CB’s.

Also you have Mina & Branthwaite you have better technical CB’s who can drive into midfield and become a spare man at times. And potentially use the ball better, instead of either going back to the keeper or kicking it long.

I said yesterday we basically had a back 5 that were [Poor language removed] scared of the ball
It's formation and players. These players looked more solid last season at times.
