Sad to see that the ship has probably sailed on us ever being able to get Diaz but the only way he was ever coming here is if we made a major sale last summer, and by major I'm talking about either Richarlison or Calvert-Lewin. It's a shame because he's clearly excellent but it was a text book fantasy pushed into the media by Everton to keep fans on their toes, looking back in hindsight shows it was never a goer.
Apparently it was close to being a goer and he wanted to come if you believe the rumours, but I agree we have missed the boat now

Do you really believe what the media said?
Did you see the last match? Coleman played more attacking in the left side compared with Digne. The rumours between Benitez and Digne probably was not true.
Digne was sold because of our financial problem. We cant give extra fund to Benitez to strenghten the squad. And Digne is the most suitable one to be funded.
To be honest, if we can recruit rightly, I dont think the sales of Digne is wrong.

Benitez came out and said that he wants our full backs to concentrate more on their defensive duties first when Digne was playing.

Forest want £14mil for Brennan Johnson, £20mil was being quoted previously. According to Simon Jones at the Daily Mail we're interested along with Brentford, Newcastle, West Ham and Spurs.

Hihi.... not good with numbers or the FFP thing..... what does the graph mean? Does it imply any penalty if spent more than certain threshold? Thanks..

As soon as the stories started saying that the deal hinged on James agreeing to go the other way on loan it should have been clear to everyone that it was a load of bollocks, as well as Brands preposterously letting Moise Kean leave on a two year loan which nuked our chances of being able to raise immediate funds.

I have no doubt that we talked to Porto about him, but unless toffees became the dominant European currency we were never going to be able to afford him without making a major sale. But yeah, definitely a shame because he looks great.

He looks rapid and a very good prospect.

Could have Gray/Gordon left and Brennan/Townsend right.

Get Longstaff we'll have spent £40mill.

We need to win games fast. These players won't win is games.

Where does £40mil come from?

The figures including all add ons are £16mil and £17mil. Without add ons £11mil and my guess is £12mil so £23mil.

Longstaff weve probably offered £2.5mil.
