Thing is, the club definitely has the funds to go and nab Douglas Luiz off Villa and offer him higher wages etc. It's whether we have the FFP leeway at the minute. The fact he's 23 would probably work in our favour though.

He's exactly the type of player we need right now.

i would be interested in us selling DCL to Arsenal and using part of that money to get Broja in from Chelsea in the summer.

I think Broja seems to have a lot of the same qualities but if anything seems a bit more clinical of a finisher

I suppose it depends how his loan at Hearts goes, but if it goes well and DCL is sold then I think we've at least got to try Simms there before spending a lot of money on someone at a similar stage of development.

If we sign DVB on loan I think that means we cannot sign anyone else on loan? I wonder if we could cancel that El Ghazi loan as it looks to be a bad decision now given we could do with a DM.

100% lad . I would cancel El Ghazi today or tell him he's going to the under 23s if he doesn't go back to Villa.

Simms would have to come on leaps and bounds at Hearts. Based on what I’ve seen of him, he’s not going to be a capable replacement for DCL. I think he could do a job as a backup but not someone we want to rely on if we have any intention of progressing towards the other end of the table.

Douglas Luiz agent use to be Kia Joorabchian, think it is still. Problem is Kia has no interest in actually offloading good players. No. Everton won't see no Tevez type deal either. Just junk nobody wants.

We definitely need two midfielders in the DVB deal is a good start. I just hope it isn’t the end and we have room for one more.

I don’t think we will tho because even if they aren’t good enough we have loads of midfielders. We need Delph Davies Gomes Gbamin all gone in the summer.

Hopefully since VDB has signed on loan. We can get a few more in if possible, we definitely need a centre half I would be happy with another winger or a centre forward instead of rondon being back up incase DCL gets injured again.

I disagree, admittedly I've only really watched him for televised Blackpool games last season, Chelsea this and his debut but every time I've seen him I get the impression I wouldn't be surprised if he scored. Yes, its an easier level (but so is Holland) but he has something about him.

I think for a lot of players the ex-manager factor would work in their favour. I suspect for a guy with Barkley’s attitude it’s probably the opposite.

I read somewhere that the amount of players that a team can send on loan will be cut by a huge amount and will affect Chelsea alot as they have about 23 players put on loan (can be only be 8 next season. So I imagine there could be huge opportunities to get some of these players in the summer or even now as they won't realistically be able to keep them all in the squad.
