Maybe he's not all that.
Oh he very much is.
Injury problems and apparent off-field issues though. Football-wise he's very good.
Easily the Top 3 players I've seen in academy footie over the last 5 or so years.

Lukuka had already scored 17 in 35 games when we took him on loan and another similar season when we signed him. Completely different. Your approach to transfers reflects the fact that there are absolutely no consequences to you making a call since you don’t actually don’t use up our budget or face the consequences of making a bad call. Everton absolutely should consider the risk of relegation when we sign players. Sometimes we need safe options to keep us up and we have a history of signing experienced players who have come in and done a job. You just blindly favour youth because of potential. But that’s like giving up a scratch card which you know is a £100 winner for an unscathed one because it might be a £50k winner.Chelsea signed Lukaku and played him 15 times, any idea how many goals he scored? On loan at WBA he often struggled to play the full 90mins -- Everton were the only club in for him at £28mil*
Over 11 years later that fee in football transfers may now be the equivilent of £60mil. Is it out of the realms of reality that Dibling & Rigg combined may be as good as Lukaku... Might both be worth huge amounts in potential transfer funds like Lukaku or could they become excellent players for Everton
You mention "video games" and then a "condescending tone" but then open the possibility that Dibling and Rigg cant have superior careers to Jack Harrison???
It becomes apparent (again) that you dont know the players.
"He was genuinely top 10 most talented teenagers in world football when Chelsea signed him. Chelsea"
-- No idea WTF that is supposed to mean. Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea ???!!!
Your comment on Gordon being sold is not quite true. Gordon was sold because he downed tools and made a transfer request and the fee was needed for PSR.
Totally different situation to Branthwaite.
*Lukaku was a super player and i was amazed we signed him. One of the best players weve had at Everton in my life.
It sounds like back then you'd have worried about signing him and getting relegated. Do you stay home all day as youre frightened to go outside, scared to cross the road? Is your room filled with bubble wrap, are you wearing a nappy?
Everton not signing a player or two because youre worried about getting relegated...thats bizarre.
If Tierney could get Dyche fit then I think we could get a tune out of himIs Kieran Tierney still a crock? Arsenal aren't extending his contract past the summer.
On his day he's 10 times the player Mykolenko is. Might be worth keeping an eye on his fitness over the next few months.
Obviously don't go near him if he's unable to prove his fitness.
Him and Kyle Walker-Peters, who we absolutely should be in for, would be huge improvements at full back.
If we can get him fit (maybe a standard salary with pay as you play bonus) then I think he'd be a shrewd signing. Great player on his day, a huge improvement on Mykolenko at minimal cost.Is Kieran Tierney still a crock? Arsenal aren't extending his contract past the summer.

watch the condescending tone I’m well aware of Dibling and Rigg, real prospects.
Read that back - prospects.
60. 6-0. Six-ty. Million. On two kids who may or may not make it, when we’re into our third consecutive relegation battle.
Are you well?!
Say we buy them both, then go down. Then what? Sell them for less than we bought them for?
Do you really think our club, in its current state is in any way shape or form suitable to speculate on two kids who may/may not make it?
Neither might go on to have a career even as good as Jack Harrison, you’re entirely speculating.
Lukaku was on an entirely different plane to these two kids is my point, talented as they may be. He was genuinely top 10 most talented teenagers in world football when Chelsea signed him. Chelsea.
These two may/may not go on to have fantastic careers. We are in no way shape or form able to speculate on that, if you think we are you’re crazy.
We sold Anthony Gordon for that exact reason, we couldn’t speculate that he’ll be a 40/45m pound player. Branthwaite has the same principle applied, albeit at a higher threshold.
He’s got a worse injury record than PattersonIf we can get him fit (maybe a standard salary with pay as you play bonus) then I think he'd be a shrewd signing. Great player on his day, a huge improvement on Mykolenko at minimal cost.
Really ? High praise indeed.Oh he very much is.

Need to find a new Baines. Tierney is not him.If we can get him fit (maybe a standard salary with pay as you play bonus) then I think he'd be a shrewd signing. Great player on his day, a huge improvement on Mykolenko at minimal cost.
I'd love Tierney at left back.... unfortunately the lad can't stay fit for more than one gameNeed to find a new Baines. Tierney is not him.
Don't be daft BD . Tierney likes to get forward from full back , Dyche won't want that. "Bench for you lad unless you are Premier League fit"If Tierney could get Dyche fit then I think we could get a tune out of him
out of interest, genuine question, what is you level of interest in academy football?Oh he very much is.

Ultimately, I doubt there'll be much investment if Dyche is still at the helm. Could be wrong but we can't be buying attritional full backs for example and then bring in a "Potter" type. Safety first. Investment second.Should be targeting 2 players this window. Nothing drastic, just a couple of solid additions.
An attacking wide player with pace and goal threat
A new full back
