A lot of thought has to be our playing identity going forwards. If TFG want to swap Dyche in just a few months for someone new, with a different approach to how we play, then that has to factor into recruitment.
For this season i have no issue with the defence and defensive midfield.
We need to create and score goals.
If we are targetting a 4-3-3 formation then we need a ball carrying/play making central midfielder, and a right side attacking player.

In the summer we need a whole lot of changes, but thats for another day.

There’s no proof of that just rumours from the georide end . Thelwell did say he doesn’t want to spend big money on players over a certain age and This would fall into that category

No, no, a thousand times no.

Idea would be for Longstaff and DCL to be swapped for decent fees even though they have 6 months left on contracts, both good returns for PSR and would help us sign players this winter.

We can still sign other players with higher potential.

Although not exciting he’s a solid PL player and would be a good squad option.

I'm not on board with Long staff generally, but if there's a PSR workaround that's sensible.

Needs new players now! Fed up of losing year after year quality in the squad...our squad is a joke. TFG are better be creative with psr, but we need at a minimum 2 attacking players that can create...

He tried to sign elanga for peanuts...but wasn't able to attract the player...he tried and failed so many times, but worryingly, he is the one impressing our new owners.

There’s a very real problem now.

Do you give a manager who very obviously won’t be here at the end of the season money to buy more of his beloved hard working hoof merchants, to try and keep the team in the division, but the new manager more than likely won’t want ?
